Day 2. Official visit to the Faroe Islands

Vágur, Fámjin, Tvøroyri

June 12, 2025

King Frederik, Queen Mary and Princess Josephine arrived in Tórshavn on June 11th. They are traveling with Dannebrog - the Danish royal yacht.

On June 12th Dannebrog docked Vágur, where they visited both FabLab, Vágseiði and the nursing home Hamragarður.

Later that day the arrived in Fámjin. The King and Queen visited the company TARI. They farm seaweed and make products of seaweed.

The last stop was Tvøroyri. The couple accompanied each other when visiting the kindergarden Mýrifípan. At the plantation King Frederik and Queen Mary helped each other plant a tree.

In the evening the coupe attended a dinner hosted by Mayor Kristin Michelsen. The dinner took place at the culture house SALT.

Visiting the Faroe Islands takes a warm and practical wardrobe. Mary packed wisely. When visiting Vágur Mary embraced a chic look. She wore a couple of coats from Scandinavian Edition and Uniqlo. Later on she changed to a lovely creamy white Harris Wharf London double-breasted coat. A perfect match with the dark blue turtleneck and the printed Etro belt.

She styled the outfit with beloved diamond earrings from Sophie Bille Brahe and a magnificent diamond ring. One day I hope to be able to identify it.

When spilinning in Vágur Mary wore Salomon boots. She then changed to a pair of black suede boots.

Day 1. Official visit to the Faroe Islands

Tórshavn

June 11, 2025

Arrival at Tórshavn

King Frederik and Queen Mary are on official visit to the Faroe Islands from June 11-13th. Princess Josephine accompanied her parents.

The three of them made a private to Koltur a day prior to them arriving in Tórshavn on June 11.

The King, Queen and Princess were officially welcomed in Tórshavn Wednesday around noon. Then a reception followed in Tinganes and a visit at Lagtinget. They were also welcomed at Tórshavnar Kommune.

They were then served lunch before visiting við Tjarnir. Queen Mary also payed a visit to the school Glyvra Skúli.

On the first day in Tórshavn the couple wore their traditional Faroese national costume. Mary received hers on the couple's first visit to the Faroe Islands in 2005. Both the clothes and silver pieces of jewellery were custom-made for her. I think her the "butterfly" brooch was a gift from their visit in 2018.

Mary accessorized her outfit with fine diamond earrings from Sophie Bille Brahe and the most beautiful updo. I missed these stunning hairstyles. Did you also spot the shiny diamond ring?

Her black ankle boots are old ones from Gianvito Rossi. Mary first wore them at the birthday celebration of Queen Margrethe in 2015.

Dinner at Hotel Føroyar

Attorney General Aksel V. Johannesen hosted an official dinner at Hotel Føroyar with King Frederik and Queen Mary as guests of honor. Both Aksel V. Johannesen and the King addressed their gratitude with a speech before the dinner.

Mary also wore her amazing traditional Faroese national costume. The green, red and black costume is really beautiful next to her fair skin and dark brown hair. Her embraced the style at Hotel Føroyar with an embellished Ellen Hunter hair comb. The comb has been seen on a couple of other events.

Earlier that day Mary received a magnificent gift. A set of silver jewellery. The earrings, necklace and matching cuff are a gift from talented Niels Large. I truly hope she will be wearing the set soon again. The design is marvelous.

This is Mary's fourth pair of Manolo Blahnik's iconic 'Hangisi' satin jewel buckle pumps. We have seen her wear them in grey, yellow and blue. Look closely and you will see an old Bottega Veneta clutch in black satin.

Private visit to Koltur

June 10, 2025

King Frederik and Queen Mary will be on official visit to the Faroe Island's from June 11 to 13th. They will be staying on board Dannebrog. The couple will be visiting Tórshavn, Vágur, Fámjin, Tvøroyi and Eiði. The tree day visit is hosted by Attorney General Aksel V. Johannesen.

The couple made a private visit at the island of Koltur south of Streymoy prior to the official visit on June 11. Princess Josephine surprised everbody with her participation. What an experience to have with your parents.

The three of them visited the historical settlements Nor ami í Ger Kongi and Heima í Húsi. These settlements are from dated back to the Viking age.

I am not quite sure if it in fact is the same jacket. If it is the same color. If so then Mary's Cintamani jacket goes back to 2009 or 2010. Mary also wore a Cintamani jacket skiing in Verbier in 2013. When visiting Koltur she stayed warm in a down-jacket from Patagonia as well and trousers from Laksen.

She has worn the tweed cap quite a few times. It has never been identified. Frederik has been seen wearing the cap too. Mary's practical backpack is a new one from Haglöfs. The Salomon shoes were a perfect match for the hike around Koltur. I think she was wearing her health-tracking ring.

Royal Run 2025

June 09, 2025

More than 97,500 people are participating Royal Run this year. It is a Royal-Run-record. King Frederik started his day in Ribe with a One Mile followed by 5km in Horsens. Meanwhile Crown Prince Christian was on his way to Viborg to run 5km.

Princess Isabella and her two younger sibling's participated the Family Mile in Copenhagen. Princess Josephine also ran the 5km route. Queen Mary ran 5km in Korsør.

All of them ended the day in Copenhagen where King Frederik, Crown Prince Christian, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine participated the 10km run.

Over the years, it has become a tradition for the family to end the day by eating spaghetti bolognese.

Mary enjoyed a day in Korsør. She participated a 5km run in this year's Royal Run t-shirt from CRAFT. She also flashed a reused CRAFT running jacket and a second blouse from the same designer. When arriving in Korsør she wore a pair of black running trousers from NIKE. Later she changed to shorts from Pas Normal Studios.

She is known for wearing a cap when running. In Korsør Mary wore a brand new one from NIKE. Her running shoes are also new. The dusty rose sneakers are from Adidas. Looks like she was wearing her health-tracking-ring as well. It might be the perfect accessory for the event.

Maybe not her most well-put-together outfit but I really love the idea of matching light grey and brown. That I like. Don't think I have ever really tought about that being such a wonderful color-combo. Her linen set is from the talented Danish designer Mark Kenly Domino Tan. Mary first wore the set when visiting France in April. It created headlines back then.

Mary accessorized the fine linen set with a reused Zimmerman belt and brown midi heels from Gianvito Rossi. I truly wish she had worn some other pieces of jewellery. Something a bit more bold. Nevertheless both the golden Dulong Fine Jewelry earrings and the Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen rings are remarkable craftsmanship.

What did you have in mind for this event?

June 3rd, 2025

Denmark takes over the EU presidency on July 1st of 2025. On that occasion the incoming presidency countries are visited by the European Parliament's Conference of Presidents before taking over the EU presidency. This is why King Frederik and Queen Mary hosted a reception at Frederik VIII's Palace at Amalienborg on June 3rd.

Mary has worn this wonderful bright pink No 21 dress on six different occasions since 2019. Maybe you also remember her wearing it on her husband's 56th birthday last year? I am always very excited when she is wearing something bright and colorful. You know that is you have been following me for many years.

Receiving the Conference of Presidents of the European Parliament, Mary had chosen just a few pieces of accessories. Like her beloved beige pointed python pumps from Gianvito Rossi and golden Dulong Fine Jewelry earrings. Did you know that these earrings comes with interchangeable pendants?

Her stunning new golden necklaces is from the talented Louise Grønlykke. In fact it is studded with shiny diamonds. What is not to like!

Knudshoved Odde

May 27, 2025

Queen Mary visited Knudshoved Odde near Vordingborg as patron of WWF World Wide Fund for Nature who are currently working on a project to ensure better living conditions for endangered animal species.

Mikkel Aarø-Hansen, General Secretary of WWF World Wide Fund for Nature accompanied Mayor of Vordingborg Mikael Smed, Landowner of Rosenfeldt Gods Nicolai Oxholm Tillisch and director of Ravn-Nature Peer Ravn when welcoming the Queen when she arrived at Knudshoved Odde.

The Queen was scheduled to take part in a butterfly release, but cool weather meant that it was postponed. Instead, some of the butterflies were displayed and later to be released when the weather is warmer.

During the visit, the Queen also participated in releasing bell frogs and spread a seed mixture on the forest meadow.

This is what I love so much about our Queen: she is not afraid of jumping into a lake, climb a tree or release a frog. For her visit at Knudshoved Odde Mary had chosen a pair of reused Laksen trousers, an old down-vest from Moncler and a brand new Scandinavian Edition jacket.

The cool canvas belt with the brass buckle is from the Swedish Fjällräven. It features the iconic Fjällräven logo: the fox. Mary also wore new outdoor shoes from Salomon.

We also get a glimpse of a golden ring studded with diamonds from Dulong Fine Jewelry. I've been interested in knowing more about her rather massive silver ring. She has worn it on a few occasion's prior to her visit at Knudshoved Odde. It is now told to be a 'smart ring' that track you health. Your level of stress, sleep and heartbeat.
