For several years the Crown Princess has committed herself to fight for girls and women's rights and well-being. She had attended countless international- and national conferences, visited countries all around the world listening to stories from those who are closest to the issues. She has also acted keynote speaker at several different conferences worldwide an despite her royal status (where she is not allowed to talk politics in public), she has managed to generate only positive attention to the subject. This time the Crown Princess participated a conference on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights in Humanitarian Crises at Christiansborg in Copenhagen. She arrived in the afternoon where she was welcomed by Deputy Secretary General in Sex og Samfund Tania Dethlefsen. When the Crown Princess gave the opening speech, she had everyone's attention. Read it here. Story goes that the Crown Princess is not just the only one who want to participate. Waiting lists are created for member who would also like to have attended the conference -which by the way is organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Parliamentary All-Party Network for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights and Sex og Samfund.

Mary was beautifully dressed when she participated the conference on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights in Humanitarian Crises at Christiansborg. Everything was perfectly suitable for the occasion. Unfortunately, not that many pictures have been published. I happened to find a short clip that gives me an idea of what she was wearing. She dazzled in a black blazer and a white blouse featuring a collar. Have we seen that before? -it reminds me a lot of a new Hugo Boss blouse worn on February 2nd when she received a donation to the Maternity Foundation from Inner Wheel, here. Both blouses features a similar collar. Let me know what you think. The black and white printed pencil skirt is by no doubt a Hugo Boss design. Mary embraced the style with white pearl ring from Marianne Dulong and a pair of earrings we have seen multiple times before from same designer. I caught a glimpse of her shoes and I believe she wore the SAND Copenhagen pumps.

Crown Princess Mary attended the opening of Copenhagen Fashion Week 2016 at Copenhagen City Hall.

Time for a more detailed post from when the Crown Princess attended Copenhagen Fashion Week 2016 taking place at Copenhagen City Hall. I am all excited about her presents at the fashion week. A couple of years she did not attend, but this year she was. Makes it a little more special and glamourous. The Crown Princess arrived with a great smile on her face and in a splendid mood along with her dear friend Ellen Hillingsø. The fashion week is where the Danish designers show what they have been working on for a whole year. Designers like Baum und Pferdgarten, By Malene Birger and Second Female presented their newest collection on special designed runway going all the way through the city. This year the Crown Princess was present at Tonsure's fashion show, which Countess Alexandra also attended. Unfortunately, I am not sure if they met. They probably did. After the Tonsure show, the Crown Princess attended another show by Jesper Høvring at the prestigious Hotel d'Angleterre. Before leaving she found time to greet the designer with his collection.

I am sure we all noticed Mary's outfit as the first thing when she arrived -everything else would be a little odd, right? She really stunned me with her outfit. Think I am in love. Unbelievably how she always manages to look this good. Have a feeling that you love her new coat as much as I do. A rather coat for her but with heels it doesn't matter at all. Often she wears different Danish designers at the fashion week, which is also the case this time. Kate was able to find her new blue coat at Fonnesbech (Collection: A2 collection), who also participated the event. Kate was a step ahead of me, because I had the same feeling that her coat could be a Fonnesbech design. It is described to be a combination of femininity and power. Matched perfectly with the blue leather Quidam clutch. First glimpse of the rest of her outfit, made me fall in love even more. That wonderful ruffle blouse and new trousers. I manages to identify her blouse as DAY Birger et Mikkelsen and Jennifer found her trousers at Julie Fagerholt Heartmade (Collection: Winter Holiday 2015). Mary accessorized her fabulous outfit with new Jewlscph earrings as Mai Manniche (Jewlscph's designer) proudly commented in a blog post, here, a golden Georg Jensen bracelet and her customized gold ring from Marianne DulongThe golden ring and red nail polish are a great match. Many brands make similar colours of nail polish and you probably already have your very own favourite red nail polish. Last, but not least she wore leopard pumps from Gianvito Rossi. I fell almost humble getting the chance to comment on such as beautiful look.

A donation to the Maternity Foundation

Tuesday, February 2nd

Crown Princess Mary received a donation from Inner Wheel, here, to the Maternity Foundationhere, because of her patronage. It took place at Frederik VIII's Palace, Amalienborg.

Since 2010 the Crown Princess has been patron of the Maternity Foundation -a Danish developed organization with the vision "no women should die giving life". With this strong vision, it's clear how the foundation want to try to change the world. It was a very smily Crown Princess, who greeted CEO of the Maternity Foundation Anna Frellsen, former international CEO of Inner Wheel Suzanne Nielsen and Convention Coordinator at Inner Wheel Benedicte Haubro for the donation. As patron, she received a donation from Inner Wheel on DKK 100,000 to support the work of the Maternity Foundation. I am in no doubt when I say, I believe the Crown Princess was very honored to receive the donation and of course to represent the Maternity Foundation on a big day like this.

Her smily face must have been the first thing everyone noticed when entering the room at Amalienborg. Shiny as her smile is the blouse she was wearing. I can't really tell what colour it is -champagne, golden or rose gold? Nevertheless, it perfectly matched her stunning makeup. With help from Kate the blouse has been identified as Hugo Boss (Collection: HUGO by Hugo Boss) and not JOSEPH as I first thought. I am wrong too. She beautifully matched it with a brand new black skirt, also identified as Hugo Boss (Collection: BOSS by Hugo Boss). I really hope we are going to see her wear that skirt again. She embraced the style by wearing earrings from Figaros Bryllup and a golden Georg Jensen bracelet. Seems to be her favourite right now, such as wearing red nail polish. Love how her outfit turned out. Just so polished and chic. Unfortunately, we did not get a picture that shows any shoes. I think she could wear pumps in nude, beige or possibly black. I go with black. What do you say? Do you also wanna see this outfit again some day?

Crown Princess Mary attended the networking group session with Værket, herein Slagelse.

It was a warmhearted and smiling Crown Princess, who arrived to Slagelse yesterday, to see for herself how the new project Værket of the Mary Foundation and Danish Red Cross is working. She was warmly welcomed at the arrival by CEO of Danish Red Cross Hanne Line Jakobsen. Along with the CEO of Danish Red Cross and the rest of the networking group, the Crown Princess participated in several activities. These were great entertainment for all of them. I believe they all had a wonderful time together including the Crown Princess.
Værket offer group session's for adults, who feel social isolated or live in solitude. Studies have shown that more and more Danes live a life in solitude and feel socially isolated. As Chairwoman of the Mary Foundation, the Crown Princess has made it her life's work to try to make a difference -help those who need it. Both the Mary Foundation and Danish Red Cross have experience with what solitude and social isolation can do to people, especially those who have no one to turn to. The project helps strengthen relationship's and rebuild self-esteem. Solitude is hard to talk about, but talking about the problems have been proven to make things better. In the 90s the Crown Princess lost her beloved mother and experienced the feeling of solitude for a short time. She used her own experience to express sympathy.

Mary was dressed in a cozy beige coat when she arrived to Slagelse to attend a meeting with the networking group Værket. Since the beginning of 2016 I think we have seen a very mature and modern dressed Crown Princess. A classy look with a splash of colours. After having seen the first pictures from her appearance on Monday, I am sure this new beige coat is a By Malene Birger design. I corresponded with Kate and she confirmed my ideas. The double breasted coat, very similar to the one Princess Marie wore at the opening of the parliament in 2011, is from By Malene Birger and features black buttons and a rather large collar. To match the new coat, Mary wore a brand new burgundy blouse that has a certain 70's vibe, because of the A-shape and light material. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to identify it. It reminds me a lot of the asymmetric Alexander McQueen skirt she wore here. She chose a pair of trousers with slim legs to match the blouse. Mary accessorized her outfit with several jewelleries from Ole Lynggaard Copenhage and, believe it or not, a pair of really old golden earrings from Pureheart. She's also wearing her golden Georg Jensen bracelet. In a lovely caramel colour she added her Ralph Lauren bag and grey suede ankle boots from Gianvito Rossi. I really think her outfit is inspiring. The way of mixing a burgundy blouse and the slim trousers is so pretty. Do you think we will see more of this "modern edgy style" in the future? I hope so.
