CROWN PRINCESS MARY'S BRIDGE HAS OPENED

28th September

It was a very special day when Crown Princess Mary arrived to Frederikssund on Saturday. The Crown Princess was about to inaugurate a newly built bridge - her very own bridge. Or at least it is named after her. The bridge now connect the vest and north of Sjælland, and is crossing Roskilde Fjord.

The Crown Princess was in a splendid mood when arriving to Frederikssund. Despite the weather not showing the best of what we call Danish Fall weather, she was one big smile. We get why, right? How often do you get to open your very own bridge? Not often. Around 10,000 people had showed up to participate the inauguration. By participate, I mean literally participate. As part of the inauguration the 10,000 attendances would either walk or run a one mile, 5 kilometers or cross the bridge in a 10 kilometers walk or run. The Crown Princess chose to walk one mile - yes in 100mm heeled shoes.

Right from the beginning, people wanted her attention. All wanted a picture and a handshake, and that is what they got. Crown Princess Mary took plenty of time to talk with and meet many of the attendances.

HEALTHCARE DENMARK'S AMBASSADOR SUMMIT 2019

27th September

It was a proud and honored patron of Healthcare DENMARK who arrived to the Ambassador Summit 2019. The Crown Princess was in a splendid mood when she arrived. She was warmly welcomed by representatives from the organization. The summit took place at the Kennedy Centre in Glostrup.

Healthcare DENMARK is a non-profit-organization. They develops visit programs to foreign decision-makers and press delegations. The programs aim to show the Danish healthcare system and how its innovative solutions works.

As patron the Crown Princess entered the stage and gave a speech on the occasion of the summit. Her speech has only generated positive comments and it is fully understandable. She is strong with words She was also given a guided four around one of their laboratories. To me it seems like she was in her right element - listening, learning and sharing.

WELCOME FALL WITH PURA LOPEZ

Fall is just around the corner. We get to wear all these lovely darker colors as burgundy, emerald green and navy blue. We also get to wear warm knitted sweaters, long wool-blend coats and nice printed scarves with matching accessories. This is, by no doubt, my favorite time a year. I love the feeling of it being cold outside and wearing warm and cozy outfits. I am in my right element during this cold season With Fall and Winter also comes the question: what shoes to wear? That is why I made this specific post in collaboration with Pura Lopez - one of Crown Princess Mary's favorite shoe designers. I found six pair of shoes from their collection to help you chose the right shoes to welcome Fall. The guide includes both heeled boots and ankle boots, but also colored pumps and strappy sandals. All shoes are from Lopez' present collection and is available on their website. You find a complete shopping list at the end of the post. Have fun and hopefully you will be inspired to what will become your future purchase.

LOKK CONFERENCE 'NORDIC WOMEN AGAINST VIOLENCE 2019'

20th September

Crown Princess Mary had an important meeting with Mogens Jensen, Danish Minister for Food, Fisheries, Gender Equality & Nordic Cooperation. The two of them have met and traveled together on several previous occasions. At the meeting the Crown Princess and Minister discussed different topics dealing with gender equality, here.

In the afternoon Crown Princess Mary arrived to Hotel Scandic in Copenhagen to attend the opening of the conference 'Nordic Women Against Violence 2019'. Crown Princess Mary is patron of the organisation hosting the conference LOKK - Landsorganisationen af Kvindekrisecentre (the Country Organization of Women Crisis Center).

As both patron and guest of honor, she gave a speech at the opening. In her speech, among others, she mentioned that gender equality in genereal is more common than most other places in the world. Still the extent of both physic and mental violence against ones partner is a bigger issue than we may think. She made it clear that we have to be more focuses on mental violence due to the intensification of criminal cases involving this kind of violence. Applaus for her well-chosen words and the fact that she is committed to make a difference on such an important, but hard topic to talk about. The embedded post from the Mary Foundation's Facebook page shows the Crown Princess speaking in front of her audience.
