February, Thursday 28th
We have not seen the Crown Princess much lately. Last time we had the chance was when she attended a memorial concert in honor of Prince Henrik who passed away last year, here. Back then she was accompanied by her husband.
On Thursday Crown Princess Mary was own her won again when attending the presentation of EliteForsk Awards. It all took place at the Opera House in Copenhagen. Every year since 2007, EliteForsk Awards are handed over to leading researchers in their field with purpose of raising awareness of research in Denmark.
The Crown Princess has attended as guest of honor more than once. This year was no exception. She was warmly welcomed by (among others) Danish Minister of Education and Research, Tommy Ahlers. The two of them later entered the stage and presented five winners of the EliteForsk Award. Tommy Ahlers and Crown Princess Mary also handed over twenty students receiving one of the EliteForsk Travel Grants. Congratulations to all winners.
