Day 1. Business promotion visit in Italy

Tuesday, November 06th

-A day in Rome-
For quite awhile we knew that the Crown Prince Couple were about to go on a business promotion visit to Rome in Italy. The visit last from November 6th to 8th. That's now. Somehow it almost came as a surprise to me. But here we go.

The Danish royal couple arrived to Italy earlier this morning. They were warmly welcomed by the President H.E. Sergio Mattarella and his daughter Laura Mattarella. The Italian President hosted a lunch for the Crown Prince Couple at the Presidential Palace Palazzo del Quirinale as part of a welcoming ceremony on occasion of the visit. The couple also payed a visit to the Terme Di Caracalla, which really seemed to fascinate the couple with its magnificent old history.

Visiting Italy the couple is head of a Danish business delegation. More than 30 Danish companies are traveling along the Crown Prince Couple. The visit is all about strengthening the relations between Italy and Denmark under the title "Italy - We Think Business".

Now we are talking. No idea what I expected to see today, but I am truly impressed by her dreamy outfit. Just look at that incredible creamy white tweed dress. Everything looks perfect. Very well made. Don't you think? Really want to hear your thoughts on her new dress. I thought it might be custom-made and I was right. Mary's new dress is custom-made by Mark Kenly Domino Tan, here. Impressive creation. She accessorized it with a new white leather belt. I found it at MaxMara.

Mary embraced the style by wearing the most wonderful golden jewellery. Frist thing I noticed was the leaf brooch from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. So beautiful. The same designer created the golden chain bracelet, pendant and the stunning diamond earrings. Amazing how a coupe of jewellery can complete an outfit. Any of these pieces you would want yourself? Personally I'd love to have a pair of these gorgeous diamond earrings. Her other golden wonder is from Cartier

As shoes she had chosen simple nude Prada pumps. At first. Later during the day, she had a quick change of shoes. From pointed leather pumps to sporty white Nike sneakers. Heaven even managed to identify the new clutch she is wearing. She found it at Diane von Furstenberg. Great finding. Take a note of her beautiful hairstyle as well. I really missed these up-dos. Hope we get many more during the next couple of days.

-Evening event-
Arriving to Italy earlier the same day the Crown Prince Couple was first welcomed by the italian President H.E. Sergio Mattarella and his daughter Laura Mattarella. The President then hosted a dinner for the couple at the Presidential Palace Palazzo del Quirinale. Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary then visited Terme Di Caracalla.

Around dinner time the royal couple arrived to attend an evening event. It was a reception on occasion of their official visit to Italy. The Crown Prince Couple are accompanied by representatives from more then 30 different companies. They also attended the reception. Both Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary were in a splendid mood at the arrival. I bet it was a wonderful evening with lots of talking and a great dinner.

At the reception Mary showed up wearing a combo of black and print. She wore her reused black shirt from Julie Fagerholt Heartmade and a brand new leopard printed skirt. The new skirt really surprised me. Leopard print is top of fashion right now, but I am skeptical. Mary use to change my mind when there is something I don't really like. But I am still not fan of leopard print though she makes it look very classy and elegant. So far I have not found out where it is from but I am still looking.

She embraced the style with several wonderful accessories. The blue belt we have seen once before when she attended the presentation of Magasin du Nord Fashion Prize 2017, here. Do you remember it? Mary also wore multiple golden jewellery. I noticed golden earrings and matching bracelets from both Dulong Fine Jewelry and Cartier. She also impressed the world with snake skin pumps from Prada and a high quality leather clutch from Quidam. A mix and match of materials, fabrics, colours and prints. I am crazy about her hairstyle and magnificent makeup. Love that we finally get to see more of these updos. That is something I have hoped for in a very long time. Anything you wish to see during the visit? I would like something colourful. Maybe a clutch or a pair of shoes.

Hubertus hunt in Dyrehaven

Sunday, November 4th

For a couple of years the Crown Prince family has watched the annual event: Hubertus hunt in Dyrehaven in Klampenborg. Last year the Crown Princess attended along with all four children, here. This years we missed Prince Christian, but had the pleasure of Crown Prince Frederik.

Something else had also changed. Usually Prince Henrik's Medal of Honor are handed over at the event, but not this time. Now it is Crown Princess Mary' Medal of Honor and she handed it over her self today with a little help from her children. I bet it was a very special feeling for all of them, remembering their beloved father-in-law; grandfather and of course father.

The five royal members enjoyed the hunt from the balcony of the Eremitage Castle. The castle is located in Dyrehaven and has worked as a hunting castle since 1734, here. Today it is primarily used for the annual Hubertus hunt.

Looks like the family and everybody else attending, had a wonderful ful in Dyrehaven. Crown Princess Mary shared some of her photos of the children during the day in Klampenborg, here.

All five members of the Crown Prince family were warm dressed in cosy coats, wearing gloves and all kinds of knitwear. Princess Isabella was in a grey wool poncho; Prince Vincent kept warm in a navy blue down jackets matching his fathers tartan coat. Meanwhile Prince Isabella embraced the weather in a rust color coat and a cap.

Mary on the other hand impressed by wearing an almost new outfit from top to toe. The knitted beanie is a reused piece also worn at last years event, here. Pretty sure the knitted brown gloves are old as well. But that is pretty much it. Everything else are new pieces.

First thing noticed is her new tartan coat. At first I thought she was wearing a blazer, but I was all wrong. It is a coat. It features some significant details like the coloured collar and cuffs, and embossed silver buttons. Heaven impressively managed to identify Mary's new coat as Dubarry. She embraced the style by wearing new green trousers and a matching turtleneck blouse. Both in a lovely dark green colour. Think the trousers could be made of velvet.

To me her brown leather boots are also new. Looks like they features a rather thick heel and a round toe. Did any of you get a good look at them? Well I am sure you all noticed Mary two new bags, right? One is from Ralph Lauren. One is from By Malene Birger. The Ralph Lauren bag is indeed new. She has another one, but that is in a more brown leather, here. The other one from By Malene Birger features that incredible bordeaux detail. Heaven managed to find both bags from today's event. Hope I will be able to give you some more ID's soon.

Visiting 'Værket'

Tuesday, October 30th

As Chairwoman and founder of the Mary Foundation the Crown Princess visited Red Cross in Næsted. She payed a visit to Red Cross on occasion of the collaboration with the Mary Foundations about the project called 'Værket'.

'Værket' aim to create a community and support for people feeling solitude for a longer periode of time. This is done by among others different kinds of social activities, events, networking groups, etc. The project is an offer for adults aged 30 to 60. When the group met on Tuesday Crown Princess Mary attended. She arrived in a really great mood, with a large smile on her face. She was warmly Secretary General of the Red Cross, Anders Ladekarl. Also CEO of the Mary Foundation, Helle Østergaard attended the evening event.

Crown Princess Mary had plenty of time to get to know former and current members of 'Værket'. She also participated in several social activities during her visit. Among other things, the Crown Princess took part in "a picture of yourself" along with the rest of members and volunteers.

The Mary Foundation shared this post on Facebook from the visit at Red Cross.

What she wore during the visit at Red Cross in Næstved was all reused - except from that lovely  caramel wool coat. It looks a lot like her old MaxMara coat, but this got pockets and some different buttons. I had no idea where to even look for this new piece. Luckily Else Marie was there to help me. She has been able to identify Mary's new coat as Julie Fagerholt Heartmade. Seems like your Crown Princess is getting fund of her Heartmade's once again. Think we need to keep an eye on on Heartmade from now on.

Mary then embrace the style of her caramel coat with a reused printed blouse from Jesper Høvring (collection: H by Jesper Høvring). I clearly remember how troubled all of us were to identify it. So many different designers were mentioned, and then it was found at Danish designer Jesper Høvring. She paired the blouse with simple black trousers and what I strongly believe, is black suede pumps from Gianvito Rossi. She has worn the blouse at, among others, the Women's Board Award 2018, here. Matching the rest of her look, Mary had chosen to accessorize outfit with earrings from Louise Grønlykke.

Presentation of: Christmas seal 2018

Monday, October 29th

Before we welcomed November the Crown Princess has one event left to attend. On Monday she attended as patron of Christmas Seal Foundation the presentation of this year's Christmas seal. The Christmas Seal Foundation has presented a new seal every year since 1904. The money goes to the Christmas Seal Home, who help children to get track on a healthy lifestyle and create new friends.

Crown Princess Mary was in a splendid mood, such as all the participating children. They simply loved her. Crown Princess Mary was especially adored by a girl, who couldn't help herself from giving the Crown Princess a huge hug. Somehow that does not happen very often. I am sure I would not dare to do it myself.

The grand presentation took place at City Hall in Copenhagen. Crown Princess Mary was joined by the artist Peter Madsen on stage when she was to reveal the seals. Peter Madsen created this years beautiful Christmas Seals. I just love this tradition.

I was quite surprised to see what dress Mary was wearing at the presentation. We have not seen it for a very long time. Still I am sure you remember it very well. This red wonder is a creation from Hugo Boss - a BOSS collection if I am right. Last year she wore something a bit more dark in colour, here. Not as bright at this year. You almost get happy when looking at her red look.

What Mary did is so clever. She matched her red Hugo Boss dress with nude accessories. We have seen her wear this combo many times before. Like here in 2012. I even think it is the same nude snake skin belt she is wearing. As in 2012 Mary embraced the style of her red dress with a nude Naledi Copenhagen clutch and matching pumps. At the presentation at the City Hall in Copenhagen, she wore pointed Prada pumps as at the presentation of Magasin du Nord Fashion Prize 2018, here.

As jewellery she had chosen golden pieces. Earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry, bracelets from both Cartier and Ole Lynggaard. What a treat. I am absolutely stunned by her outfit. Works perfectly well with the occasion.

Update: I mentioned a creation by Bøgelund-Jensen in my first edition of this post. Apparently, some has misinterpreted this. The two dresses are similar in style, but that's it. To be clear, Crown Princess Mary is not wearing a Bøgelund-Jensen dress.
