Changing of the guard at Gråsten Castle

Friday, July 20th

Like most other families the Crown Prince couple enjoy summer time with a vacation along with all four children. This year they stay at Gråsten Castle and now the Queen and her sister Queen Anne-Marie joined them. Little under a week ago, the family attended the annual parade of Gråsten Ringrider Association near Gråsten Castle, here. We rarely get to see the family, when they are on vacation and that's just fine with me. They need some time on their now and then. A few days ago the family shared a rare moment with all of us on Instagram. It shows Prince Vincent having a silent moment on his own in the garden, here. Then on Friday we then got one more glimpse of the family, because of the changing of guard's at Gråsten Castle. The Crown Prince couple, all four children, Queen Margrethe and Queen Anne-Marie watched the shift taking place. This little "ceremony" takes place each Friday while the Queen stay at the castle in Gråsten. It is performed by the Royal Livgard Music Corps and Tambur Corps.

Think it is wonderful to see the family gathered. All of them seems happy and in a great mood during the shift. Especially, I noticed how comfortable Prince Vincent seem to be. We rarely see him this relaxed and comfortable. I am glad on his behalf that he is now able to feel more comfortable in public. And the Queen looked her very best with her little dachshund following her whereabouts closely.

Mary played it safe with a rather simple and boho-chic outfit at the changing of the guard on Friday. She looks all comfortable in her new off-shoulder blouse from Designers Remix (identified by Heaven) and still unidentified maxi skirt. It features a significant paisley print, but so far I have not been able to identify where it is from. Reminds me of something Chloé could have in one of their collections. All other ideas are very welcome. Let me hear what ideas you in mind.

I always admired Mary's holiday wardrobe. The bohemian style makes a great match to her personally and what we are use to see her wear during everyday's. And a perfect contrast to huge tulle gowns and pencil skirts. It is clear that her daughters have inherited (or taking noticed of their mother) her sense of choosing chic outfits. Princess Josephine dazzled in a blue off-shirt dress and sandals, while her older sister were dressed in a denim dress and brown sandals. Their brothers embraced (as their father) shorts and short sleeve blouses. Love how the family always manage to match each others clothes with such perfection. Even the colours match. Mary also accessorized her look with reused snake t-strap sandals from Prada.

On vacation in Gråsten

Sunday, July 15th

Like most other families, the Crown Prince family enjoy the Danish summer. The royal couple and all four children are stying at Gråsten castle in Gråsten for their holiday. We haven't really heard anything from them the last month. The story goes that they family has enjoyed their vacation in Gråsten and still is.

Today the Crown Prince couple with children attended the Gråsten Ringrider Association's annual parade near Gråsten castle. It is a tradition that goes back to the time, when King Frederik 9th and Queen Ingrid received Gråsten castle as wedding gift in 1935. Around 300 riders and more than 100 children on bikes take part in the parade in front of the castle. Last year the Crown Prince couple, their children and Queen Margrethe greeted all participants. This year the Crown Prince family welcomed the 300 riders and more than 100 children on bikes with handshakes, smiles and warm greetings. Little Grace also joined the festivities. The weather was splendid such as all six royal family members. I was so pleased to see all of them again.

Great weather, takes great outfits. That's exactly what we saw at the ceremony in Gråsten. All three boys were dressed in shorts and shirts, while the three girls embraced summer chic outfits. A palette of white, blue and green. Seems like especially Princess Isabella has already managed to capture her mothers sense of style. Mary dazzled in an reused Athé by Vanessa Bruno blouse featuring beautiful lace work. It was first worn in 2016 during the Olympics, here. She even wore it last year while visiting the exact same even, here here. This time she was wearing the blouse with a brand new midi skirt from Apiece Apart. Heaven is the one who identified the new skirt. Mary then embraced the style by wearing earrings and a couple of from Dulong Fine Jewelery. The combo of golden earrings and green pendants have been seen before. Among others in 2013 at the annual photo call at Gråsten, here, at a movie premiere in 2012, here and during a visit in Mexico, here. Always loved the combo of gold and green. What jewellery would you wear to an outfit like this? Maybe a long necklace or tassel earrings. The sunglasses are from Ray Ban and worn at, among others, the confirmation for Countess Ingrid, here. By request I've been able to confirm that she is in fact wearing Ray Ban's and now I know about the model. You find about the model below. Last but not least, Mary looked magnificent wearing ballet flats from Chloé. These was first seen during an official visit to Japan in 2017, here. A really beautiful and chic summer outfit.

Meeting on the world's refugee situation

Tuesday, June 12th

Second time this month the Crown Princess participated a meeting that was not part of her official calendar. On Monday 11th she met with among others former Secretary General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon to talk about The UN Live Museum that will be located in Copenhagen, here. The following day she had a meeting with Filippo Grandi, UN's High Commissioner for Refugees that took place at Amalienborg in Copenhagen. She met with him as patron of the Danish Refugee Council. Present at the meeting was also Danish Minister of Development, Ulla Tørnæs and Secretary General of the Danish Refugee Council, Christian Friis Bach. According to the royal house, the current refugee situation was discussed during the meeting and Filippo Grandi filled everyone in on the work done by the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR).

We haven't seen Mary in anything this black for a long time I believe. Not sure black is the most exciting color to wear these days. Still, the weather has not been as perfect and sunny as we want to the last week and something sophisticated is needed for the occasion. So, she chose to wear this new v-neck, black dress. So far I have not been able to identify it, but it reminds me of something from either Hugo Boss or maybe JOSEPH. Take a look and let me know what you have in mind. Love to hear your thoughts. She belted up the dress with an old Céline belt worn numerous times before, here, here, here. Unfortunately I am not able to tell you for sure, which pair of shoes she was wearing because no pictures show. My guess would be something black to match the dress. Embracing the style to perfection Mary dazzled wearing a few bracelets from Dulong Fine Jewelry, one from Cartier, an Orit Elhanati necklace and of course that gorgeous earrings. They go years back and are from Dulong Fine Jewelry - former Marianne Dulong. She has worn them before but in my mind, it is years ago. I need a little more time to track down a photo for you. Let me know if you find what I am looking to share with all of you.

Meeting about 'UN Live'

Monday, June 11th

On Monday the Crown Princess attended two unofficial meeting about a new project called UN Live, which will become a global UN-museum located in Copenhagen. The UN Live Museum is suppose to act as a global gathering place for UN values and goals. It will be a place for development, problems solving and an invitation for innovation. During the meetings she met with among others, former Secretary General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon and CEO of Realdania, Jesper Nygård along with several other representatives from Danish foundations and organizations. From what I see, the Crown Princess was all ears. For years she has supported the United Nations values and goals, and is trying to make the world a better place for especially girls and women across the globe. Can't help myself from thinking that she was inspired by organizations like the United Nations. Looking forward to follow the work on this new museum.

At the two meetings in Copenhagen, Mary had chosen a good old dress from Hugo Boss - not seen for years. A dress like this has been worn by the Crown Princess many times about now, for instance in 2012, here, and 2016, here. Do you remember the dress? When do you think she wore it better? Think it is the first time she wears it with a coat, but it looks brilliant. Talking about the coat, then I only know very little about it though it goes years back in time. I was able to find her wearing it at an event in 2012, here. She has a similar one with black details around the neckline. As seen before, Mary chose to wear her coral, diamond earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry. These earrings have followed her for years just as with the dress and coat. A clear proof that your clothes can always be mixed and matched, even after more than six years. It is all about creativity and feeling comfortable in what you're wearing. From Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen she accessorized her outfit with both a golden chain bracelet and diamond rings. Prada is the designer of the Saffiano Cuir Double tote from the meeting, as Gianvito Rossi created the navy blue pumps. What a lovely outfit.
