Focus on child marriages

Wednesday, September 27th

Accompanied by Minister of Development Ulla Tørnæs, the Crown Princess visited Hedegårdens School in Roskilde on occasion of an event focusing on child marriages. The event was organized by Save the Child Denmark. This was the first of several visits to Danish schools to focus of child marriages and how to combat the fact that it is taking place. The Crown Princess arrived in a great spirit where she was welcomed by a flower girl handing over a beautiful bouquet of flowers to the future queen of Denmark. As part of the visit to Hedegardens School she also gave a speech. In her speech the Crown Princess mentioned UN's 5th world goal about "gender equality" that include abolition of child marriages in 2030. During the one and a half hour she spend in company with the pupils, she was told about their world with child marriages and UN's world goals, such as the kids were sining and playing theatre for the Crown Princess, who seems to very much enjoy herself.

Attending the event in Roskilde, Mary was dressed in a chic and everyday-like outfit. She showed up in a brand new black blouse featuring a lovely floral print and matching black trousers. The blouse was identified by Heaven as Isabel Marant. Not that style we are use to see from Isabel Marant I think, but it makes a great look. In my opinion she was nor underdressed or overdressed for the occasions. She had embraced the style by wearing a pair of beige suede pumps from Gianvito Rossi, which I am so sure we have seen once or twice before -I can't seem to remember when or where. Do you? To me they are not new but of course I could be wrong in that assumption. As goes with the rest of her outfit, non of the other accessories made her look overdressed at all. With a golden Orit Elhanati necklace and diamond earrings from Hartmann's she completed her look beautifully. Anything you would have done differently? Lately, we have seen her with loose hair and that classy blowout. Visiting Roskilde Mary dazzled with a simple ponytail matching the rest of her everyday look. A wise choice!

For half a year, journalists from the Danish magazine Ud & Se have followed the Crown Princess for their October 2017-edition. They have got the chance to interview her at Frederik VIIIs palace and join her on everyday jobs as well as on official events. All on occasion of the celebration of the Mary Foundations 10th anniversary, which also means the journalists have followed the Crown Princess during some of the meeting with members of the foundation. The interview show a women in great balance between being representative for Denmark, as chairwoman of a foundation, wife and mother of four. We hear her tell how she missed her home country and family while she's staying there, how she feels she is right where she is suppose to be in her life. She tells how proud she is of what the foundation has accomplished the last ten years and her commitment to move on for many more years. For sure it is not the last time I'm going to read this interview -it is openhearted, well-written and lovely to read. Along with a wonderful interview goes many beautiful new pictures of the Crown Princess. Lucky you, the edition has been published online as well, here. If you managed to read the interview, please tell me what you think. I would very much like to hear your opinion.

The Army's Honorary dinner

Tuesday, September 26th

For 72 years the Army's Honorary medal has been handed over to members of the Danish army for good service for 25 years. The medal is handed over each year on King Christian 10th birthday, the same day is was ordained -September 26th 1945. The dinner took place at Fredensborg castle. One by one the 57 special invited guests arrived to the enlightened castle; all beautifully dressed in their finest clothes. Four members of the Danish royal family also attend the prestigious dinner. Prince Joachim and his beautiful wife Princess Marie arrived as the first ones followed by Crown Princess Mary who was on her own. Crown Prince Frederik was on an official business promotion in China the evening the honorary dinner took place. This is why the Crown Princess attended on her own. Nevertheless, she was in a splendid mood with a huge smile on her face when she arrived. It is always with great commitment she, along with the rest of the family, attend official events like these. We got a short glimpse of the beautifully decorated room in which the dinner was about to take place. It was enlightened by huge chandeliers and candles, golden chairs to sit on and magnificent flower decorations on the table to admire for hours. The scene was set for a wonderful evening.

For the evening event, Mary was dressed in her dazzling pink creation custom made by Danish designer David Andersen. I have had the desire to see her wear this gown again since the last time in 2012, here. Often you tend to forget that Mary has worn her clothes more than once. The goes with this stunning evening gown. We saw it the first time in 2011 at a wedding in Monaco, here and then again the following year. Five years since we have seen it, so I think it is about time she'll wear it again. And she did for the Army's Honorary dinner at Fredensborg castle. Not that many pictures have been published, which is quite a shame. I would love to have seen many more. Especially, some close-ups. That would have been nice. Well, that's not the case. Nevertheless it does not take that many pictures to identify what she was wearing. She embraced an elegance and polish look with the red ruby parure and her golden Cartier bracelet. Both the metallic pumps from Manolo Blahnik and raspberry red Carlend Copenhagen clutch, here, have been worn at several different occasions. With a smashing hairstyle and stunning makeup, I would say she looked her very best. While Mary was in pink and matching accessories, her sister-in-law Princess Marie embrace a chic look very all black.

Danish Industry's summit

Tuesday, September 26th

On Tuesday the Crown Princess arrived to the Opera House in Copenhagen to attend Danish Industry's summit. She arrived in a splendid mood by boat from across the canal where Amalienborg palace is located. Along with 1,000 other representatives, both senior executives, politicians and decision makers, also attended the summit entitled "What now, Denmark!? -New world, New possibilities". Global challenges were up for debate, both national and international issues were discussed. The participating Danish companies could come up with their suggestions for possible solutions on how to face these global challenges. Before all this the Crown Princess took over the scene and gave a breathtaking opening speech. Among other things, it included what an important role the private sector plays such as the UN's world goals. You find her speech in the video down below. I see a Crown Princess who listened with great interest and commitment. Still, we got to see her beautiful smile and feel her warm spirt. Her visit lasted for about one and a half hour and then she was headed back to Frederik VIIs palace.

Attending the summit in the Opera House, Mary was wearing a reused dusty blue dress featuring a lovely tailored silhouette. As mentioned the dress is a good old reuse from 2015. She wore it the first time when the Crown Prince couple visited Tokyo two years ago, here. When do you think she wore it better? At that time it was identified as a Jesper Høvring-creation. Nevertheless, I haven't really been able to confirm that. What information do you have about this dress? Because the weather wasn't that fantastic, she kept herself warm in her wool coat from JOSEPH. Since we saw it for the first time a couple of years ago Mary has worn it at multiple different occasions. I have found some of them here, herehere, here & here. She had chosen to accessorize the look with white pearl earrings and matching bracelet and ring from Dulong Fine Jewelry, her beloved Cartier bangle and a golden Orit Elhanati necklace -one we have seen a lot lately. At the arrival we got a glimpse of the bag, which seems to be one of her Prada handbags. Other than jewellery and handbag, Mary dazzled in python pumps from Gianvito Rossi last seen on day 3 when she visited New York on occasion the United Nations General Assembly, here. Hope you noticed how good-looking her hair is and the fact that she wore a lovely red coloured nail polish.
