Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended the opening of the Danish Parliament 2013 after the parliaments holiday. At the opening Queen Margrethe, Prince Henrik, Prince Joachim, Princess Marie and Princess Benedikte did also attended.

Serious, Mary really knows who to dress like a movie star! Lately I think we have seen so many beautiful outfits but this one at the opening of the parliament topped the list. No doubt! Rules prescribe that the royal members arrives in the order they have to the throne when they enter the parliament hall - Queen Margrethe, Crown Princess Frederik, Crown Princess Mary etc. It is a tradition for the royal family to attend the opening once a year and of course there were it was no exception in 2013. Actually I don't know the reason why but I always look forward to this day.

Beautifully Mary was dressed in a bordeaux peplum suit we saw the first time at the wedding of Prince Guillaume, Hereditary Grand Duke of Luxembourg and Countess Stéphanie de Lannoy in Luxembourg back in 2012. At the weeding she wore it with a rather large grey hat  and pearl earrings.   I was amazed! I am now as well! The suit shows everything gorgeous of her body. I'm sure people couldn't not stop starring at her. Delightful. Under the peplum blazer I think she wore a black lace blouse from Danish Julie Fagerholt Heartmade. Very much her style. Yesterday she chose black accessories instead. The black and bordeaux combo gives me the feeling of elegance. The side chignon and her black Susanne Juul hat looks stunning. Three years ago she wore the same hat at the exact same event, when she was pregnant with the twins, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine. With the black Carlend Copenhagen clutch and matching gloves Mary stole my heart. The SAND Copenhagen pumps made her legs seems longer, very stylish! Differently one of my favourite outfits from this year. I'm really impressed.

Opening of Hospital+Innovation Congress

September, 30

As patron of Healthcare DENMARK, Crown Princess Mary attended the opening of Hospital+Innovation Congress in Odense.

What is Hospital+Innovation Congress all about?
Well over the next ten year Denmark are about to invest in 16 new hospital projects which included greenfield projects and expansion of the already existing capacity. The congress invites international healthcare communities to join the discussion on innovative solutions. This year more than 350 participants attended from all over the world. Read much more about it here.

In the shiny black car Mary arrived to Odense on Funen to attend the opening of Hospital+Innovation Congress. Mary is the patron of Healthcare DENMARK who organized the opening. To officially open the congress she gave a wide smile and cut the traditional red ribbon with a large golden scissors standing next to regional council chairman at South Denmark (Region Syd Danmark) Carl Holst and President of Healthcare DENMARK Mariann Fischer Boel. At the opening she also held a speech which aims was to allow cooperation between stakeholders from the public and private sectors in order to create innovative and sustainable health solutions. She also had the chance to talk to some of the 350 participants at the congress which also had a chance to talk to the other participants, to share solutions and knowledge in the area they work. I really think this is a great way to share knowledge we have on certain subjects. We get smarter when we work together. Denmark is a country that uses a lot of time and efforts to develop and improve our hospital system, but we still have much to learn. With the congress that is possible. It is important we keep developing and find the best solutions because it's all about saving lives.

In a really great mood Mary attended the opening wearing a plain navy blue suit. Paying attention to all she was shown, Mary was guided on a little tour to see some of the possible future solutions to improve the healthcare system in among others Denmark. We have at a few occasions seen her wear actually both the short jacket and dress at the same time. They do a great outfit! You might remember the designer Danish SAND Copenhagen. On the left side of her chest she placed a little floral diamond brooch. Well I can't prove a thing to you but once, and only once, I read it was a gift given to her by her father-in-law Prince Henrik which apparently belonged to his mother. I haven't been able to confirm this information any where. So maybe the brooch is inherited or maybe it's not. I kinda like the story and I do not understand why no one can tell me but that's the fact. Sorry. A thing I can identify is her pointed shoes. They are from Lanvin. A lovely pair of shoes! She topped of the look with a Ivory Bogota and Shamballa Jewels bracelets. And of course the magnificent Rika clutch in the most wonderful bordeaux colours!

In New York for L'ONU Conference

September, 28

Crown Princess Mary attended the UN conference on female circumcision in New York. She attended the conference with the Danish Ministry of Social Affairs focusing on women's rights and battered women.

Crown Princess Mary did also attend The Global Citizen Festival 2013 in Central Park, New York where she gave a speech.

Crown Princess Mary at the UN conference

Mary is an important person for this conference. She has great influence and can create a huge attention to the subject; female circumcision. She spent many hours and days in the year 2013 to draw attention to girls and women's rights, health and living standards over the year. her concern for others that could make a difference is significant for those who need it. She shows surplus by helping people in need. Those who need help the most, Mary gives a helping hand - a second opportunity - a chance for a better life - a life where your voice are heard. On each table it was stated where the various participants come from in the world. Denmark had two representatives. Members from Italy, Liberia, Sierra Leone and members on the United Nations. During the conference Mary had a little chat different of these members. Dressed in a white By Malene Birger blouse and probably a red Hugo Boss pencil skirt, she paid attention to whatever any of them would say.

Crown Princess Mary at The Global Citizen Festival concert 2013 in Central Park

With the sun shining directly in her eyes, hard time seeing who were in front of her, Mary held a short speech, in english of course, with a very clear and strong message: we need to do something and we are doing what we can to get this problem solved. Hundreds of people were standing right in front of her, listening to her and her precious words. With no sense of doubt and no paper at all to help her on the big scene her massage was given. Mary proved that there are being taken care of oppression of women and she among other is there to help. For us to see Mary standing like this on a scene is rare, actually I'm pretty this is the first time we have ever seen that. This is highly important to her. In Axara Paris blouse and black trousers she kept everyone silent. Her speech was met with an laud applause.

Australian Women’s Weekly

The future Queen of Denmark, Crown Princess Mary was on the latest cover of the Australian Women's Weekly because of their 80th birthday. The photos are taken by photographer Michelle Holden at Amalienborg in Copenhagen. You see all over wonderful photos right here! We also see a photo of Mary with her oldest daughter Princess Isabella and the families dog Ziggy. Even though she wearing the most expensive gowns, there is a very unique and homely atmosphere. I love every single one of them! I keep looking at them, over and over again. I'm simple amazed.
