Militar Exercise on Bornholm

September, 13

Crown Princess Mary participated in a military exercise with the Danish home guards on the island of Bornholm.

When became a Lieutenant back in 2009 for the Danish home guard she kept a tradition a live. Our  dear Queen Margrethe has also served her time in the home guard. Now Mary is on the island of Bornholm for a military excise. It's cool to know that with her title as Crown Princess she is also a part of the protection of Denmark. She has my respect. In Denmark, men must serve their military service but it is not the same when it comes to women, they choose it. This is something Mary has chosen, but it's cool that she made that choice. I hope she had a good day claiming rocks and fighting nature. She proves that she's much more then a porcelain figure on the top of a cake.

Meeting in the Mary Foundation

September, 11

Crown Princess Mary was the host of a meeting with the Mary Foundation, it took place at Amalienborg in Copenhagen. Crown Princess Mary gave a speech about the past year in the foundation and she told about the plans for the next year. A presentation was given about loneliness and children's language.

This meeting is held every year and I think it's important to Mary to participate and follow what's going on in the foundation. She busy but never too busy to follow the work of her own foundation. I know that she have several good people to work with the fund in the everyday's, I think she likes to be a part of the work. It is a day to refresh the funds vision and plans. I think this is a day where Mary reminds herself that her fund is doing a great job and that they really do make a different. The meeting is also a change for her to meet their partners. I'm pleased to know that Mary try to make a different in Denmark and in the international front. I hope she and the foundation will be able to go on for many more years. They have great results and this should give them the courage to keep on going.

Mary seemed to be in a great mood yesterday even though it was some serious subjects to talk about, there was also place for a smile and a little laugh from the royal protagonist. The enthusiastic Crown Princess was dressed in a lovely moss green sheer dress featuring long sleeves and fitted waist. I love the green colour and next to her dark brown hair, amazing! I think I see a new ring on her left hand but there are only few pictures and eye do not recognize the style. On the same arm she wore at least two bracelets I know the designer of:  Shamballa and Ivory Bogota.

Birthday Party in London

September, 9th

Crown Princess Mary attended a 50 years birthday party in London at one of her private friends, Søren Jensen. The party's theme was The Great Gatsby from the 1920s.

That one time we'll see Mary in 20s inspired evening clothes and she did pretty well. Covered in black sequins and creamy silk Mary was styled perfectly to the 20s birthday at the birthday party in London. She attended the birthday on her own. The 1920s was a very special decade of history, filled with jazz music and swing dressed featuring low waistlines and headbands with everything from feathers to crystals. The way she embrace the style was absolutely smashing! Because we never see her in such dresses I assume she borrowed it, maybe at the exclusive vintage store FN92 in Copenhagen but it is just guesswork. Not only the dress was vintage inspired, the jewellery - a long black pearl necklace, a silver bracelet and the most dazzling headband - completed the outfit to make her a Queen of the 20s party. I assume she wore a pair of t-strap shoes identified by Kate as Ralph Lauren Collection (Spring 2010), the hottest shoes in the 20s, and then she wore her feather clutch from Jayson Brunsdon. This style, is it something you would like to see her wear more often?

Mary went from dressed in Jimmy Choo pumps to barefoot when she visited the mosque. Before she visited the mosque she enjoyed the view at the sea, wearing her blue BOSS Hugo Boss blazer and a new skirt with a yellow and blue stripe. A reader told me that she has been seeing it from the Danish designer Elise Gug, but I can not confirm it. In her colourful clothes she shone next to the pretty large mosque Hassan II in Morocco. The Danish Princess wore a beautiful pink scarf and took her shoes off before she went into the sacred building. I think Mary was amazed by the mosque when she got the change to see it inside. Several times she raised her head and looked around to see the overwhelming building. This is her last day in Morocco. The visit was an attempt to show some of the places Denmark is to help in Morocco when it comes to women who have suffered of violence most of them in their marriage. As the president of the Mary Foundation, Mary work with this issue in Denmark. It is one of her work areas.

The stay has last for only three days but she has had the change to meet women and children who had help from one of the countries shelters. Those who work to give those mothers a new and better life without violence. I think it has been a eye-opening experience for both the Crown Princess and those who met her. In the future I hope Mary will work to help more women in Denmark and abroad, countries like Morocco.  I'm pretty sure we will. Thanks for following Mary with me at the trip to Morocco.
