First Day at School For Princess Isabella

Princess Isabella started her first day a Tranegård school today. This is the same school as her brother Prince Christian goes on. Princess Isabella met the press out front of Amalienborg Palace along with her father, Crown Prince Frederik, and her mother, Crown Princess Mary.

This is Princess Isabella's big day therefore I think it would be very appropriate to give her all - or most - attention at a day like this. A little shy she stepped out of the doors to Amalienborg Palace followed by her parents. What a smily and sweet 6 year old girl! In Denmark almost every child goes to school when they are around 6 years old. Princess Isabella has reached that age now and is ready for school. On a day like this most children get their very first and own new schoolbag, the same did Princess Isabella. Proud she wore her Alpine schoolbag, which to mention is not a expensive one. Great to see that even though she's a little royal girl she can wear sometimes inexpensive. As only 6 years old Princess Isabella already have the most amazing style might be with the influence of her mother. She was in a purple printed blouse with a ribbon in the waist (in the same colour as her fathers shirt!!), grey knee-lenght shorts and pink sandals, there perfect first-day-at-school outfit. Then we have the little bracelet on her right wrist, the exact same model as her mother is wearing today! A sweet detail that they are wearing the same things. The bracelets are from Ivory Bogota.


Princess Isabella was one happy girl and her parents were so proud of her! This isn't just a big day for  her, I think her parents realize that their little girl is about to become a grown up girl. The first day at school is a special day to remember and we're so lucky they share the happiness with us. Mary's smile melted my heart. Just like her daughter she was well dressed but casual. Theresa identified her new white silk blouse as Isabel Marant, thanks! The blouse have so many dazzling embroidered details, a beautiful one. She added a pair of black capri trousers - could be her trousers from Elise Gug - which gave her a casual and modern look. The Christian Louboutin pumps I love more then anything else and they are stunning for this outfit. With those pumps her look is so fashionable! When it comes to the accessories she also chose some amazing pieces; the My Friend necklace from Charlotte Lynggaard with an extra penguin pendant and a black tassel, her Shamballa Jewels bracelet and of course her mother-and-daughter bracelet from Ivory Bogota. 

I wish Princess Isabella all the best in the future with her school.

Day 2: Copenhagen International Fashion Fair 2013

 In the afternoon, Crown Princess Mary attended Mi-No-Ros' fashion show in addition to the Copenhagen International Fashion Fair (CIFF) in the Bella Center, Copenhagen.

Mary surprises me every times I see her. Her sense of style is magnificent! Her elegance give her everything she need and with her sparkling personality she can wear almost any piece of clothes, any piece of jewellery and shoes. The important thing is that you wear the clothes and not the other way around. Almost at every event she is driven by a crown-car to the door and there is only a few steps to the where she needs to be. Therefor I love to see her walk a few more steps, just to see how she walks and how she acts when she's public. It also give a sense of how the clothes fit her and my heart was beating heavily when I saw the first picture of her in this dreamy pastel blue Baum und Pferdgarten dress! My thanks goes to Kate who identified the new 100 % silk dress. I'm fallen in love with the short inner dress and the long shear without. The colour reminds me of the ocean and ice-cream. 

If you ask me, this dress gives its owner so many options and I love the accessories Mary has chosen. - simple but interesting. The new long diamond necklace from Piaget makes her upper body look longer and without transferring attention from the blue wonder, the Piaget necklace came to its right with this dress. From my over all favourite jewellery collection, she wore earrings from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen's Winter Frost collection. A collection made to impress! Jérôme Dreyfuss is the designer of her pretty colourful clutch and even though her shoes were printed in other colours it worked so good. 

When we talk about shoes; aren't her new heeled sandals amazing?! I can't stop staring. Her heeled sandals are one of these things I just need to find. Sometimes when Mary wear a new piece of clothes etc. I just know when there is something I need to find. It comes like an obsession to me. When I start a search like this, I try all her usual shoe designers - that's almost obvious. But this time it wasn't that easy because she added a new shoes designer to her collection. The designer is Brazilian Alexandre Birman. What I hope now is that she'll wear them again!

Day 1: Copenhagen International Fashion Fair 2013

Crown Princess Mary attended the opening of Copenhagen International Fashion Fair (CIFF) 2013 which took place in Bella Centre. She was shown brands as Ganni and Savannah Wild.

What is Copenhagen International Fashion Fair - CIFF?
The Copenhagen International Fashion Fair or CIFF has since 1993 been settled in the Bella Center in Copenhagen. A cooperation between Danish Textile & Clothes and Bella Center. The fashion fair is held twice a year and is now one of the largest in Europe with thousand of men's, women's and children's collections of clothes, shoes etc. Read more about CIFF here.

Now the time is up for the yearly Copenhagen International Fashion Fair. Events like this are some Mary have been visiting for many years and every single time she get all the attention. Today she was overwhelming beautiful with her porcelain skin and dark brown hair. Because of the national and international attention she really have to look her best and she differently did! She... was glowing like a star, a movie star. She was so happy and smiling all the time that makes me happy. Amazing. 


When I first saw the new dress I was a bit surprised because of the mix of lace, dots, the satin fabric the dress is made of. But after a few minutes I had been looking at it multiple times it's actually really pretty. Usually I'm not a fan of mixing so many prints together but the designer, Signe Bøgelund-Jensen (Spring/Summer 2013), made it work! A very unique dress. I want to thank all of you who gave me information on the dress, this time you found it before me. In the same dark blue colours, she added topaz earrings from Danish Jewlscph. Beautiful to her dark brown hair. Her eye make was in the same dark brown colour which gave her eyes a intense look.  Before I'll talk about all the stunning accessories we'll take a look at the heeled sandals. I have a penchant for shoes, all kind of shoes especially the heeled once. I have the conviction that one can see a lot about a person by looking at their shoes. Maybe I'm just a bit crazy. It is a long time since we first saw these Ralph Lauren sandals, but I fell in love with them instantly. It took me and many others quite some time to identify them. Now we know!
Mary is a wonderful woman when it comes to the composition of the clothing and accessories. I think sometimes it may be difficult to get everything to fit. What I admire Mary for is that she chooses accessories at the same time fit the rest of the outfit but also stand out. That was the case today. The dark blue Signe Bøgelund-Jensen dress and pink Adax by Stine Goya coloured clutch are complimenting colours which means the two colours make each other light up. Great match! On her left ring find she wore her engagement- and wedding ring, on her other ring finger it was a golden Marianne Dulong ring. I'm pretty sure Mary has designed the ring herself when it comes to the different jewellery stones. Remarkable piece of work. Marianne Dulong is also the designer of the two upper gold bracelets and the pink ball bracelet is from Shamballa Jewels.

Vacation at Gråsten

I'm back from my vacation and I have been looking so much forward to make this specific post with all the new pictures from this vacation on Gråsten Palace. All gathered together from children to grandparents.

To me there is something special about this yearly family gathering. Queen Margrethe and her husband Prince Henrik invites their children, grandchildren etc for some good days together all by themselves. One of the only time a year the royal family are on their own, away from the public. The atmosphere is just so unique; the children are running around and playing and the adults are having fun even though every step are followed by photographers. This is the time a year when they are allow to act completely normal and do whatever they want - the day are not planned like everything else; anything can happen such day. That's what I love to so much! In my opinion, which you of course do not have to share with me, the royals are something special and not like everybody else but we still want to see them as we are. We respect their title (or at least some do) and they respect our wish to see them act normal.

Well, enough about thoughts. Mary was absolutely fantastic in her new dark blue Rabens Saloner (Spring/Summer 2013) dress featuring a elastic belt and wide neckline. One thing I noticed is, when Frederik and Mary are somewhere together they always wear clothes that match each other. Which also was the case here because Frederik was in a blue Ralph Lauren shirt and beige shorts - like his oldest son Prince Christian, he was also in a green Ralph Lauren shirt. Princess Isabella and her little sister were in each a floral dress and sandals and ballet flats. Prince Vincent in a sweet blue and white checkered shirt with blue shorts matching his mom and dad. Four very cute children of theirs!


Let us go back to our wonderful Mary because her outfit was quite interesting, great components were matched together with the new blue dress. I think I'll start from her shoes today - a little unusual as everything else about this day. Theresa identified her new white lace wedges as Tory Burch, which I fell in love with immediately, I kinda fancy the style and combination with the casual dress and the feminine wedges. Think I need a pair of similar wedges for my summer wardrobe... As casual her look was as expensive jewellery she were wearing. Marianne Dulong is the one of designed both two of the three bracelets and the oval shapes earrings. Love that the pendant is green, the same colour as her son's shirt! Great detail. The third bracelet is Shamballa Jewels. Her sunglasses is her model from Prada (2012). Is this a wonderful outfit or what?!
