Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary; their day in Hong Kong

The day started at the Red Brick Art Museum. Just as the name of the museum Mary wore a bright red Diane Von Furstenberg jacket. Super chic! She really know how to wear a red jacket and since red is one of my favourite colours it made me happy to see her in it. I think red looks great an any woman, we need to wear it much more. Red symbolize strength and power. Underneath the red coat she was wearing an old dress worn in 2004 on a cruise with the Royal yacht Dannebrog. It still fit her perfectly. I'm pretty sure I would have chosen to wear another jacket to the dress... I like both pieces separate from each other. Also her shoes are a bit old, they are from her engagement with Frederik of course you al remember them, the Valentino shoes with the black cap-toe. She carried a black ostrich Naledi Copenhagen clutch.

From one moment to another it suddenly the weather changed and it became windy and cold. Luckily, Mary brought with her a brown fur scarf to keep her warm.

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended a gala dinner

Finally we see Mary in a new dress and this new Elise Gug (2012) dress is the perfect gown for an evening dinner! It's a rare thing for her to wear a new gown, Elise Gug did a great job designing this with the lace skirt and velvet belt. A wonderful evening dress! Her hair was beautifully made in a hairdo and in the ears she wore stunning diamond custom-made earrings from Marianne Dulong. I think her pumps could be her black satin pumps from Prada. I'm overwhelmed by her beauty. Think this was a great way to end their trip to China. Thanks for reading and hope you enjoyed following the visit with me.

Day 2: Official Visit to China

November, 7

Program: Hong Kong
  • 10:30 am. Index Award 2011 exhibition
  • 12:00 pm. Attending a food event
  • 2:00 pm. Visiting B&O (Danish electronic companiy)

On such a trip like this to China I'm ready 24/7 to see all the latest pictures and read several articles from their visits and follow them to see what they are doing (not in a stalker way!). Wait, that's what I almost do every times she's somewhere. Today in Hong Kong both Frederik and Mary were in a really good mood, think they had a great time together visiting one of the world biggest cities. The beautiful Mary was dress wonderful as always in a navy blue fitted SAND (Fall 2012) dress! If was identified by Charlotte, Kate and Lurdes. Thanks to all of you. I think the dress is nice and gives the opportunity to mix and match it will every colour she fancy. From the same designer she wore a navy blue jacket. Her clutch, Rika, and pumps, Prada, featured the same bordeaux colour and was a great choice to the dress and jacket.

I imagen that she picked all of her Georg Jensen jewellery and packed them into her bag before leaving to China because both earrings, brooch, bracelet and ring on her finger come from Georg Jensen. One of my personal favourite jewellery designers we have in Denmark. Earrings and the beautiful handmade brooch are from the Moonlight Blossom collection and are both new. The ring is a part of the Moonlight Grapes collection.

Can't wait till tomorrow to see what she'll be wearing!

This it the way to start a day in China! Wearing a lovely blue Malene Birger dress with leopard Dolce & Gabbana pumps! This is just a lovely color, a lovely dress and lovely accessories! I really have been looking forward to this trip as any other trip and my heart almost stopped beating when I saw her in the electric blue Malene Birger dress. It's not that special at all but with the combination of the shoes and jewellery, her look was outstanding. Earrings, bracelet and the necklace are both from the Danish jewellery designer Marianne Dulong. The thin gold bracelet with diamonds comes from Georg Jensen. So many great Danish designers on one woman! Then there is the shark grey Naledi Copenhagen clutch. Hope that the next few days will be as good as this one. Tonight they'll attend a gala dinner.

Gala dinner

A good old colourful Ole Yde dress made Mary look stunning at the gala dinner next to her husband dressed in a classic suit with a black tie. This dress expressed so much elegance, I can't hide that Ole Yde always surprise me with his collections and whatever she design I'm a fan of. Such as the golden colour in the dress, she wore gold earrings from Marianne Dulong with diamond pendant. Her smile and sparkling eye made her face glove. In light pink satin she wore a clutch from Prada, an old one and used several times before throughout the years. A classic clutch. Then we head directly to the glitter Gianvito Rossi heeled sandals, new. When I look closely I don't like them at all. The mix of the green and pink colour is so just not my style. Well, it's despite the fact that I don't like the colours, a great match to the dress. Mary wore them so beautifully.

Ballet: The Nutcracker

November, 25

Queen Margrethe invited the entire family to Tivoli to see Nøddeknækkeren (The Nutcracker). The Queen herself has designed the scenography and all the costumes for the ballet.

The Nutcracker...
... is a two-act ballet which original is choreographed by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov. The story comes from The Nutcracker and the Mouse King by E. T. A. Hoffmann. I had premiere in St. Petersburg, 1892 at the Mariinsky Theatre.

With her husband and children, Mary attended The Nutcracker ballet dressed in a new (?) light blue jacket. This jacket matched perfectly her mother-in-laws blue jewellery. As a mother you need a practical handbag, Mary's is differently this one she wore at the ballet - the black Bottega Veneta bag. On her feet she wore a pair of black boots.
