Copenhagen Fashion Summit 2019

16 May

On Wednesday, Crown Princess Mary attended the official opening of Copenhagen Fashion Summit 2019 taking place in DR Concert House, here. The following day she, once again, arrived to DR Concert House to attend the conference.

Copenhagen Fashion Summit is an international conference with focus on sustainable fashion. The two-day conference was first held in 2009 - now ten years ago. It is a patron of Global Fashion Agenda that the Crown Princess participate the conference each year taking place in Copenhagen.

Once again she was accompanied by Eva Kruse, CEO for the Global Fashion Agenda. The two women has met on several occasions both in Denmark and abroad. This time they met in Copenhagen  for the summit. The Crown Princess was given a guided tour to hear about some of the participating companies sustainable solutions. Among others she visited Innovation Forum. She also attended the Youth Fashion Summit. Here 80 students presented "demands" to the fashion industry.

Her outfit at the opening yesterday confusted me a bit. I was a huge fan of that new printed Hennes & Mauritz dress. On Thursday she showed up wearing something a bit more "Mary". She had chosen one of her good old creamy white skirts from DAY Birger et Mikkelsen. It has been worn on several occasions styled with different blouses. This time Mary wore the skirt with a dark green v-neck blouse from Selected Femme. The style is simple and edgy. She embraced the chic style by wearing a thin Balenciaga belt and matching leather pumps from Valentino. Clever of her to colormatch blouse and pumps. That green color is just great. Don't you think?

The previous days, Mary has not worn that many jewellery. On Thursdays her jewelry were quite more eye-catching. Those pendant earrings are from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. First seen when she attended the opening of 'Fashioned from Nature' on April 12th, here. They are a mix of several different styles, but it has been confirmed that Lynggaard Copenhagen is in fact the designers. This brand also made her golden chain bracelet.

The other bracelets are from Cartier and Dulong Fine Jewelry. Maybe you also noticed her wearing two rings - beside her engangment ring and weeding ring. This combo of a diamond band and a white pearl ring seems to be a favourite right now. We have seen her wear it quite a few times now. The simple golden one is from Dulong Fine Jewelry and I still wonder if the white pearl ring is also their design.

  1. Hi, hope you are having a lovely weekend! I was enjoying some older ensembles of the Crown Princess's this morning and came across the Just Cavalli maxi skirt outfit worn at the Award Ceremony 2017. I noticed the gorgeous Ole Lynggaard earrings. I wondered if they are the same as the ones worn here, without the pink oval stone (I believe Ole Lynggaard earrings are interchangeable). They seem to have the same top green stone, the diamond star and red drop pendant. I recognised them as they are one of my favorites, the red is stunning! Apologies if you have already discussed this likelihood in a previous post. It's so clever that many of her earrings can be mixed and matched to create new pieces.

    1. Maybe you are on to something. The brilliant thing about Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen's design, is that most of their jewellery are up for a change. Earrings can be paired with lots of different pendants - as those the Crown Princess wore in 2017 and 2019. That is why it is likely that she "just" changed the pedant stones.
