Meeting with UN Women

24 January

On Wednesday, the Crown Princess participated a Roundtable Session in Davos, Switzerland.  She took part in the session as patron of the Global Fashion Agenda, here.

The following day, she was back in Denmark hosting a meeting at Amalienborg Castle in Copenhagen. Crown Princess Mary met with Executive Director of UN Women and UN Secretary-General, Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka. UN Women is dedicated to gender equality and empowerment of women. Read more about the UN organization, here. During the meeting, Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka told the Crown Princess about the ongoing work to improve gender equality and what issues  they challenge on a daily basis.

Crown Princess Mary and Executive Director, Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuk posed for a picture taken on the occasion of the meeting.

Attending the meeting with Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuk at Amalienborg Castle, Mary was dressed in a pair of black trousers and a reused blouse. Very simple. I wouldn't mind some more colours or maybe a necklace. I have a hard time defying if we have seen the trousers before, but I am pretty sure we have. Black trousers like these are difficult to identify. That is not the case with her blouse. It is a gathered neckline blouse from Hugo Boss (collection: BOSS). So two days with Hugo Boss blouses.

I sense that she is wearing diamond earrings and a matching white pearl hairclip. Love that she wears these hairpin on an everyday. It is very popular and trendy at the moment. Do you also fancy hairpieces? Kate suggested these, here, as being Mary's new pin. What do you think? She matched her look with simple black pumps probably from Gianvito Rossi, here.
