The Women's Board Award 2018

Friday, January 26th

The Crown Princess attended the presentation of the Women's Board Award 2018 in Copenhagen. It is the third time she is present. The award has been handed over since 2014 and aim to create greater diversity in the top of Danish business and increase the number of women in Danish boards. Along with Chairman of the Jury Thomas Thune Andersen, the Crown Princess handed over the prestiege award to Marianne Kirkegaard. She is Group CEO for CSM Bakery Solutions in USA. Congratulations to Marianne Kirkegaard with the prize and title as winner of the Women's Board Award 2018. The Crown Princess also gave a speech on occasion of the presentation.

As I mentioned before, this is the third time Mary is present at the presentation of the Women's Board Award. It means that we have already seen three previous outfit's, which can be compared with what she wore on January 26th. You find her previous outfits herehere & here.

This year Mary was dressed in a partly reused and new outfit. First thing I noticed is her blouse. She wore it on January 12th when attending the inauguration of a new Christmas Seal home, here. Since then I have had nightmares because I can't find it. Now, the sweet Amanda shared an incredible identification with me. She is the one who managed to identify Mary's reused printed blouse as Jesper Høvring (Collection: H by Jesper Høvring, here). She embraced a chic look by wearing a brand new leather skirt. It has been identified as Hugo Boss (Collection: BOSS Orange) and it turns out to be navy blue. As accessories Mary had chosen a diamond ring, a golden ring shaped as a leaf and drop earrings. All three pieces are from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. I have always adored the combination of one golden ring and one silver ring. Makes a great match. Would you ever wear both golden and silver jewellery at once? Then we have a pair of snake skin pumps from Prada and that blue Quidam clutch seen multiple times before.

  1. I found the shirt! I think... I was trying to find another top when it flashed by my screen on Jesper Hovring's website. It's his new line 'H by Jesper Høvring’. Here's a picture found on his home page, this one has a different neck but it's the same fabric. http://jesperhovring.dk/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/jesper_hvring17165_low.jpg

  2. It isn 't the best outfit during Women Board but I appreciate that she supported Danish design but never resigned with Prada :)

    1. Maybe not. Still, I like the idea with a printed blouse and a leather skirt. Imagine the blouse with a leather pencil skirt instead?

  3. Henriette:

Have you noticed that camouflage is creeping into fashion lately? I have seen it in its' many interpretations but this by Jasper Horving is quite nice.

I love the use of the color blue and the shade goes perfectly with the leather skirt. I saw photos of the Crown Princess up close and, the skirt is not just blue leather, but there is texture to the piece that is attached at the hemline and at the waist band, which makes it stand out. I like this combination of colors and textures on the Crown Princess. In addition, I have been in love with those pumps ever since I saw them--I believe it was last year.

One article described the outfit as "edgy" which is a perfect summation, fashion wise.

    Thank you.

    Regards,
    RW.

    1. When trying to ID Mary's blouse I realized the exact same: camouflage seems to what inspires designers this season. Personally, I have never really been fund of camouflage print. Though I kinda like this one much. I am in no doubt that we are going to see her wear the blouse over and over again in the future. Hope she will wear it with a pencil skirt one day.

  4. An ID of the skirt. I was looking for a flared leather skirt during the January Sale - and just found this one by Boss Orange yesterday, named Beswedy. It is actually synthetic leather. Recognized it as the one worn by Mary (she has worn Boss Orange before) and couldn't help smiling (love her style).
It is actually on sale right now (if you are interested), see e. g: Boss.https://www.zalando.dk/boss-orange-a-snit-nederdel-a-formede-nederdele-dark-blue-bo121b029-k11.html
