Going on Vacation...

Finally it's time for me and my family to go on vacation! Something we've really been looking forward to for a long time. Most Danes have begun at work again, but now it's time for me to leave Denmark and enjoy Italy. The weather in Denmark is cold, windy and rainy so I really look forward to feel some warmth and see the sun. My suitcase is packed with lots of goodies -a new bikini, printed summer dresses, pair of sandals, a camera and of course my beloved books. Italy here we come! While I'm on vacation you can't miss all the events Mary is going to attend. She is both attending a couple of openings of exhibitions, is present at the opening of Frederiksberg school and is going on a three days visit to Greenland. Yes I'll be missing quite a lot, but when I'm on vacation all electronic devices are banned. I'm sure my royal blogs friend will keep you update with everything you need to know. When I come home from my about two weeks of vacation, hopefully lovely tanned, things will change a bit. Don't worry, nothing bad. But on September 1st I'll go back studying for a bachelor in design culture and economic. This automatically means there will be less time for blogging. You all know how passioned I am about this blog and how much I love writing about the Crown Princess, but now I need to make priorities of my time. So in the future I'll still be following Mary's whereabouts, something I can't help, and hopefully I will find a way to manage both (have to!). Studying again is something I look forward to with great excitement and I can't wait to get started. Let this be my last words and then I wish you two wonderful weeks!!

Magazine Review: Vogue Australia

It came as quite a surprise when I received the news that someone was offering me, my very own copy of the August issue of Vogue Australia! I couldn't believe it. Without this sweet woman's gesture I would not be able to get my hands on a copy. I'm truly grateful and honored. Even in my wildest imagination I never thought anyone would we so kind to me. Then a couple of days ago it arrived by mail. With great excitement I finally had the chance to make up my mind about the interview. Then I thought; why not share my thoughts with all of you? The next idea that crossed my mine was; why not make it as a book (magazine) review? Remember how thrilled you all were last time I did a review, here. Hope you'll enjoy reading this one as well.

Such a special feeling, sitting with a copy of Vogue Australia coming all the way from Australia, covering the Danish Crown Prince couple. Editor-in-chief Edwina McCann, her team and photographer Mario Testino met the couple on a sunny March day this year. The meeting took place at Amalienborg, Copenhagen, to talk with Crown Princess Mary about her commitment to sustainable fashion and gender equality. I get the sense of great admiration from the writer. She describes both of them as sincere, committed and down on earth. You feel good in their presents. No doubt that Mary is committed to everything she's doing whether it's promoting sustainable fashion solutions or create new bonds between companies and people on the issue of gender equality. Though I really like all the parts where she and her work is described by the editor-in-chief, I would love to have had many more comments from the Crown Princess herself on the topic.

Her curiosity and sincere commitment to everything she does, has led her to increase her knowledge and I know (from, among others, previous interviews) that Mary knows a lot about both gender equality and sustainable fashion. Why do we not get to hear that? Still, I'm sure this is not going to be the last time I'll read the interview because, as every other time, I have the feeling that I'm getting a little closer to understand who she is. As I myself get older, it has become more important for me to understand the choices she has taken. You know, I admire her and what she has become; to me she is a role model (though she does not see herself as a role model because she thinks it depends on who you ask) To me she is the woman I would like to be, with what she has achieved. No doubt that I'll do it my own way, but Mary makes me wanna fight for making the best out of myself, helping others and make the world a better place. So 4 out of 5 crowns from me!

News from the Mary Foundation

Back to work

There is always something going on around the Crown Princess who is constantly working. Beginning of June she stayed at Gråsten castle on vacation along with the rest of her family, now she has just been a week in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with Frederik to attend the Olympics, but is now back home ready to go back to work. On Wednesday a photos appeared on the foundation's Facebook page of Mary attending a weekly meeting with among others Director of the Mary Foundation Helle Østergaard taking place at Amalienborg around the large brown table. With the text: "We look forward to yet another half a year focusing on breaking taboos, disseminating knowledge and creating change for those who have bullying, violence and loneliness in the life. The plans are new, the basic idea is the same: "Everyone has the right to belong" the foundation is ready for new projects.

The Mary Foundation goes to Greeland

Mary and the Mary Foundation does not have to wait for long to get started because it is now official that the Crown Princess is going to Greenland along with the Foundation to attend a conference on domestic violence which is one of the fund's focus areas. They will also be visiting daycares and schools working with the Free of Bullying program. She also pays a visit to Nuuk shelter. They are visiting Greenland from August 29-31st.

Four days ago Mary was in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, along with her husband following the Olympics 2016. Before leaving on August 6th, just in time to bring her two oldest children to school after their summer vacation on Monday, she experienced a water polo game, a basketball game and closely followed the Danish swimming athletes fighting to get one of the coveted medals. Now she's back home and Copenhagen Fashion Week 2016 is started. What do they have to do with each other? -because Mary is patron of Designers' Nest she attended the show and presentation of the Designers' Nest award taking place at Børsen, Copenhagen. Around 1:00 pm. local time she arrived to Børsen to attend the show. Right from the beginning, Mary was in an excellent mood. She was welcomed by the sweetest flower girl handing over a bouquet, created by Det Sorte Træ, here, perfectly matching her coat. The flower girl wasn't the only one thrilled about meeting the Crown Princess. Here, here and here you see some of those who got the chance to be photographed with Mary -hope I get the chance one day (if I do not pass out). From first raw she watched the show of Fonnesbech with great interest.

I'm not hysterical about Copenhagen Fashion Week nor Designers' Nest, but I think it's really interesting following shows and see what designers have been up to all year. Yes, I love fashion (as most of you lovely people does), look for trends and match new outfits inspired by what I've seen. So Copenhagen Fashion Week is closely followed me. For Mary to be patron of Designers' Nest makes it even better! I know press around the world is especially interested in Mary at such an events. Because what will she wear to represent fashion when the world is looking? She always amazes me at, fashion events or not, and for certain I was not disappointed this year! I gasps as my jaw almost hit the floor. Mary was wearing her white Julie Fagerholt Heartmade dress as seen on the cover of Eurowoman, here, in April, featuring gold threads glimpsing in the sunlight. Absolutely amazing to see her in that dress again. Overwhelmed by the dress, I was completely surprised by the new coat she wore; a long, mustard coat. Never thought we would ever see Mary wear anything like this, despite she has a couple of coats similar to this one. Trying to ID it, Kate and I stumbled across an Autumn model from Fonnesbech (Aw16). Now when we got more photos, I'm very sure it is in fact a Fonnesbech coat. Styled with a pair of Sergio Rossi t-strap pumps and a Carlend Copenhagen clutch her outfit looks completely fabulous. Besides a clutch and pair of pumps, the outfit only included golden earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry, a ring from the same designer and a couple of tiny golden bracelets. Especially I love how her hair looks all soft and wavy. Simply gorgeous!

Day 6: Olympics in Rio de Janeiro

Saturday, August 6th

Crown Prince Frederik is present at the Olympics 2016 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, as member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The Crown Prince is accompanied by Crown Princess Mary. Also Prince Joachim and Princess Marie are present.

Program
  • Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended water polo at Maria Lenk Aquatics Centre.
  • 1:00 pm. Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended swimming at Olympic Aquatics Stadium.
  • The Crown Prince couple attended basketball

The games are now started and participants from everywhere in the world, of almost any possible nationalities, competing to bring one of the three coveted medals back home. The best of luck to everyone participating! I'm not the only one, of course not, cheering for the Danish athletes. Also the Crown Prince couple had found their seats, ready to cheer for their favourite athletes; first at Maria Lenk Aquatics Centre to watch water polo, then a 1:00 pm. local time the royal couple watched swimming at Olympic Aquatics Stadium (they even arrived before the race) followed by a basketball game. Both Frederik and Mary were in an excellent mood, enjoying the games taking place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Around afternoon, it was time for Mary to leave summery Brazil and go back to windy Denmark while her husband stayed in Rio. I'm sure she would have liked to stay there a couple more days, though I think she looked forward to be reunited with her children right in time before Prince Christian and Princess Isabella are going to school again after seven weeks of vacation.

We have seen blurry and lots of bad quality photos from the first five days the royal couple have been in Rio but from the sixth, and last day, I have only been able to find a single photo of the couple attending swimming at Olympic Aquatics Stadium. Only shows her upper body. Fortunately one of you were able to find two more photos actually showing what Mary was wearing. Cheering up the Danish athletes Mary was wearing her navy blue polo shirt from Vero Moda, a pair of white shorts and her By Malene Birger sneakers. With Prada sunglasses and pink diamond studs from Hartmann's she enjoyed her last day casual dressed. Keywords? Chic and sporty.

Day 5: Olympics in Rio de Janeiro

Friday, August 5th

Since July 31st, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary have been in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, along with Prince Joachim and Princess Marie (who arrived before the Crown Prince couple). They have been present at different times on occasion of the Olympics 2016 about to begin on August 5th.

Program
  • Unoffical event: Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary visited the Olympic city to met Danish and Australian athletes.
  • 7:15 pm. Crown Prince Frederik, Crown Princess Mary, Prince Joachim and Princess Marie attended the official opening ceremony at Estadio Maracaná.

Crown Prince Frederik & Crown Princess Mary met Danish and Australian athletes

Only a few hours and the official opening ceremony will begin at Estadio Maracaná in Rio de Janeiro. With some hours left till the big opening ceremony, Frederik and Mary visited the Olympic village. Here they meet both Danish and Australian athletes who expressed what an great honor it had been to meet the Crown Prince couple. The couple were also given a tour around the athletes apartments during the two and a half hour they spend in the Olympic village. From the pictures I have seen, mostly taken by athletes who meet the couple (here, here, here, here), I think they really enjoyed each others company. All relaxed. I love how down to earth they both are; simply enjoying themselves in Rio. The Olympics is something they both love and I believe it brings back lots of wonderful memories. Of course from the time they met each other but also from 2012 when Prince Christian and Princess Isabella accompanied them in London. They are an active family who enjoy all sorts of sports activities, everything from football, handball, running, horse riding, golf, tennis and swimming. They also joined some of the athletes for a bike ride. Here you see Frederik along with wrestler Mark O. Madsen. Now all seems to be ready for the Olympics to begin!

Like 80 or 90 % of all the athletes Frederik and Mary met during their visit to the Olympic village in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where the royal couple wearing a t-shirt and shorts such as sneakers. The perfect outfit that's both sporty, casual, comfortable and chic at the same time. I think I've mentioned this once or twice before, but the clothes worn by the Danish athletes (and four royal family members) are designed by Bestseller -sold at Jack & Jones and Vero Moda- in collaboration with athletes. The collection includes more than 100 styles for men and women. In the Olympic village both Frederik and Mary wore shirts from this unique collection; Mary the same blouse as seen on Princess Marie one of the first days after her and Prince Joachim arrived to Brazil along with Prince Nikolai, Prince Felix, Prince Henrik and Princess Athena, here. Unfortunately is the t-shirt no longer available online but I found the same model, just for men. Seems like the styles are incredible popular and sold out quickly. Again she was wearing a pair of navy blue Nike shorts and matching (new) white sneakers from the same designer. Mary accessorized her casual look with Hartmann's earrings, a golden Orit Elhanati necklace such as bracelets from among others Dulong Fine Jewelry and Cartier. To keep her eyes protected from the warm Brazilian sun, she wore a pair of Prada sunglasses. I love how her makeup was all natural and a simple, yet fine, ponytail as hairstyle.

Blouse: Vero Moda OL-Grafic T-shirt
Shorts: Nike
Earrings: Hartmann's
Bracelet: Cartier Love Bracelet

Crown Prince Frederik & Crown Princess Mary attending the opening ceremony, Rio 2016

Finally the time is up and the Olympics 2016 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil,  is now officially started! The four hours long opening ceremony took place at Estadio Maracaná, Rio de Janeiro, at pm. 7:15 local time which means those of you who followed the opening living in Denmark or close by, didn't get much sleep because the time difference is five hours. I have to admit I didn't wait up till midnight to watch the four hours show but what I've seen is extraordinary and truly impressive! Rhythmic music, thousands of happy people, colorful costumes and lots of glittering fireworks in the end. Spectacular! All of this and much, much more was what entertained the Crown Prince couple, Prince Joachim and Princess Marie, here. Both Frederik and Mary immortalized the moment by taken pictures and maybe a video or two. I'm sure they have four very excited kids at home who can't wait to see these photos. Imagine all of that amazing photos on each of their phones -pretty sure I'm not the only one who would love to see some of them. So now it's all started and we can cheer on our favorites! Anything you just can't miss?

Mary wasn't as colourful as the dancers and musicians entertaining during the opening ceremony but I still love her outfit! We saw a dress we haven't seen more than once several years ago. I always wondered why she hasn't worn it again because it was worn at a more or less private occasion. I see with everything in her closet, we have to wait maybe a year or so till we see it again but now we waited since 2012 when Frederik and her arrived to Monaco to attend the wedding of Prince Albert II of Monaco and Charlene Wittstock, here. This lovely white crochet dress is from Ralph Lauren (Spring 2011) also seen on international model Claudia Schiffer, here. As easy as it was to identify what dress she was wearing, as difficult has it been to find out what navy blue blazer Mary was wearing while watching the opening ceremony. Because it looks like she could be wearing her old Zara blazer but I'm confused because on the right side of her chest you see the logo, here, of the Danish Olympic wardrobe designed by Bestseller and a couple of Danish athletes attending the Olympics in Rio. Heaven suggested that the logo has been added to her Zara blazer. It's clear to me that Mary's blazer is not exactly the same as the athletes wore during the ceremony, here. Take a look and tell me what you think. After all, she styled her outfit with Dulong Fine Jewelry earrings, a bracelet from the same designer, one from Cartier and her stunning brown leather bag from Ralph Lauren

Day 4: Olympics in Rio de Janeiro

Thursday, August 4th

As member of the International Olympics Committee (IOC) is Crown Prince Frederik present at the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He is accompanied by Crown Princess Mary, Prince Joachim and Princess Marie.

Program
  • Unofficial event: Crown Princess Mary visited the Danish riding team participating the Olympics
  • 7:00 pm. Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended the IOC President's dinner

Crown Princess Mary met participants from the Danish riding team

Although sports isn't in my biggest interest, it makes me so proud to know that a small country as Denmark is represented at the Olympics in Brazil. We have teams participating in everything from handball to cycling races and dressage. Yesterday Mary the participants from the Danish swimming team during a trainings session before it all begins tomorrow, on August 5th, with a huge opening ceremony. I've had the opportunity to see the Crown Princess once when she and Frederik visited the city where I live back in 2007 or 2008 and it was such an great experience though I never got the chance to greet her. That was unreal, so I truly understand if it was a huge honor for the participants to meet her and the Crown Prince. They are described as totally down on earth and sincere. Before the big opening ceremony it was time for Mary to pay the Danish riding team a visit. And from what I see, here and here, I think it was one of the best visits for the Crown Princess who, more than once, has told that she loves spending time with her horse. Something she enjoyed doing along with her children during their vacation at Gråsten castle, half a month ago.

This has to be one of my absolute favourite moments for a long time! With a messy knot located all random on top of her head and a pair of washed denim short, Mary made me fell in love with her once again. Down on earth, relaxed and casual dressed. These moments I love more than anything else -even those with the huge tiaras and new evening gowns. The only thing that reminded me where she was, is the special designed Vero Moda jacket featuring the iconic Olympic flame above the "Rio 2016" font. Under she wore a new blue/white striped blouse, also from Vero Moda, styled with a pair of light denim shorts. You see it here without the jacket. I think she could be wearing sneakers, would be a great match to the kinda practical and sporty outfit she was wearing early on the 4th day in Brazil. Again, it was a golden Orit Elhanati necklace and her Cartier bracelet that caught my eye. Also the pink diamond studs from Hartmann's not to forget which, by the way, could be the same she wore yesterday when visiting the Danish swimming team. Simple, yet elegant. Not much more to say, only that I think this outfit would do perfectly for a day off -going for a long walk, taking the kids to the playground or meeting friends for a lunch.

Jacket: Vero Moda
Blouse: Vero Moda
Earrings: Hartmann's
Necklace: Orit Elhanati The Abyss Necklace

Crown Prince Frederik & Crown Princess Mary attending IOC President's dinner

After a long break, the Crown Prince couple were ready to attend IOC President's dinner that took place at the Windsor convention centre in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Both the Crown Prince and Crown Princess arrived to the Windsor convention centre, where the dinner was about to take place, in an excellent mood. With a huge smile on their faces. They we warmly welcomed by International Olympic Committee's President Thomas Back and his lovely wife Claudia Bach on the red carpet before attending the dinner. It all began at 7:00 pm. local time. Because of the time different pictures weren't published till next day. Of all the articles I've been able to find, I believe it was a spectacular evening with more than two royal guests. Also Prince Albert II of Monaco, Kind Wilhelm-Alexander of the Netherlands shook hands with IOC's President and his wife when they were welcomed. Guests with all nationalities attended the dinner hosted by IOC's President.

Unbelievably how much clothes and a pair of pumps can do! I still love everything about Mary's look from earlier the same day and it didn't change when I saw her wearing one of her old goodies from Hugo Boss. Despite the dress isn't new, quite old actually, I can't get enough of it. True, I would never have picked the dress myself but that what I adore Mary so much (among other things) because she makes even the wiriest dress look stunning! Right? With it's almost cosmically pattern and turtleneck Mary rocked a dazzling evening outfit. Think it is the third or fourth time she reuses the dress. Maybe you can help me find out when? -I remember sometime on a visit to the United States, at some point when she attended the presentation of a portrait made of newspapers (?) and at a dinner along with Frederik taken place in Copenhagen a couple of years ago. As previously, she accessorized it with a pair of diamond earrings featuring a coral pendant custom-made by Dulong Fine Jewelry. Both her patent leather Gianvito Rossi pumps, the Bottega Veneta clutch and golden Cartier cuff have been seen during her days in Rio de Janeiro. Great way to show of how to wear accessories over and over again, in all kind of ways. Love it! If you find her dress available somewhere I would really like to hear from you (pre-owned or new), so I'd be able to share the link with everybody else. Thanks. What else do I see? -a few other bracelets and a black lace shawl.

Now we only have one post missing. Keep an eye on the blog later today or tomorrow for an update from the big opening ceremony and then Mary will be leaving for Denmark on August 6th.

Day 3: Olympics in Rio de Janeiro

Wednesday, August 3rd

The Crown Prince couple are present at different times at the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. They royal couple is accompanied by Prince Joachim and Princess Marie who brought all four children. Crown Prince Frederik attends because he is member os IOC -the International Olympics Committee.

Program:
  • 11:00 am. Crown Princess Mary attended the official presentation of LEGO-boxes given to the school EDI.
  • Unofficial event: Crown Princess Mary visited the Danish swimming team during their training before the Olympics.
  • 6:30 pm. The Crown Prince couple, Prince Joachim and Princess Marie attended a gala dinner at the Training ship Danmark.

Crown Princess Mary at the presentation of LEGO-boxes

Only two days away from the official opening ceremony of the Olympics, on August 5th, and Mary joined the presentation of 5,000 LEGO boxes which were given to 300 different Brazilian schools that are a part of EDI -Institute for Child Development in the Jacarepague shantytown. Of course she didn't hand over all five thousand boxes herself but some lucky children got the chance to meet the Crown Princess and get their LEGO box. Mary was warmly welcome at the arrival and given a beautiful bouquet of flowers. I think it was pure joy looking at the photos, taken during her visit, when she hand over the toy boxes to some of the youngest pupils. The smile on their faces is precious. Mary also listened to speeches and watched a concert Danish Radio Girls Choir who is in Brazil, along with a delegation of several Danish companies etc., to promote Denmark and Danish values. To me the best part of her visit was when she took the time talking and playing with the children who really enjoyed Mary's company. The Crown Princess was one big smile!

One of her old goodies! A white dream she purchased in Australia couple of years ago when she was ''home'' on an official visit along with her husband. Since then we have seen her in this WILLOW dress a couple of times, think it's the third time now. Here and here. At first I was sure she was wearing one of her white Hugo Boss dresses but now there is no doubt in my mind when I tell you it's from Willow especially because of the characteristic white leather belt wrapping her waist. Thrilled to see it again, but what makes me even more excited is the fact that we get to see such a fine and sophisticated dress worn with a pair of heeled ballet flats! Which by the why are new and because of Heaven I know they are from Prada. Thanks for helping me out on this one! If you manage to find a close up of her flats, notice the sweet detail on the white cap toe -a bow and stitches. The most elegant way she styled her outfit with golden jewellery from Dulong Fine Jewelry, Cartier and magnificent Orit Elhanati necklace. I can't ask for more; an incredible dress, perfectly accessorized with classic and timeless jewellery. Think the reason why I really like this outfit is because she showed us how to dress both sophisticated and elegant and at the same time casual. Sure you know what I mean.

Dress: WILLOW Jacquard Stretch and Leather Dress
Necklace: Orit Elhanati The Abyss Necklace
Bracelet: Dulong Fine Jewelry Anella Pearl Bracelet

Crown Princess Mary met the Danish swimming team

Between her two planned visits at Jacarepague shantytown where she presented some of the 5,000 LEGO-boxed and later in the evening, a gala dinner on board on the Training ship Denmark. Suddenly photos appeared everywhere of Mary visiting the Danish swimming team during one of their training session before the Olympics taking place within a few days. Everything I read is that everyone was so excited and grateful to met the Crown Princess in Brazil. Danish swimmer Lotte Friis (the woman you see above, next to Mary) is just one of many from the Danish swimming team who have shared photos of the Crown Princess. To me she seemed in a really good mood; smiling and laughing all the time. I think is was a great honor for the team members to met her and glad she took time to visit them. The Danish royal family also shared a photo on Instagram, here, after the training session. All relaxed, it looks like a Mary really enjoyed meeting the athletes. I just love she takes time to do such visits because I know how much it means to the participants. Thumbs up from me!

Nothing fancy about Mary when she met the Danish swimming team during their training session. Completely relaxed and casual dress in a polo shirt, knee length shorts and a pair of sneakers. That's what I think is so great about Mary, because no matter what she is wearing she's just amazing even in shorts and a polo. We have already seen Prince Joachim and Princess Marie wearing clothes from the Danish label Vero Moda -who designed the clothes the Danish athletes wear during the Olympics, and now Mary has to. A dark polo shirt. I haven't been able to find the exact model of her navy blue short but I see they are from Nike because of the logo on her left leg. As always you're more than welcome to help me find the right pair. I think I see a bracelet and a pair of earrings but I can't tell you anything more than that. She accessorized the outfit with her black By Malene Birger sneakers.

The Crown Prince couple, Prince Joachim and Princess Marie attending a gala dinner

Around dinner time, local time, The Crown Prince couple, Prince Joachim and Princess Marie were invited to attend a gala dinner on board the Training ship Denmark on occasion of the ships arrival to Brazil. Also Prince Nikolai and his younger brother Prince Felix attend the dinner. Along with their father and stepmother, the two boys arrived on board the Training ship Denmark shortly before Frederik and Mary were sailed out to the ship which was docked close to the harbor. Once again the family was gathered, ready for an outstanding evening in each others company. Imagine what an experience it must have been for both Prince Nikolai and Prince Felix to attend this gala dinner. As patron of the Training ship Denmark, Prince Joachim expressed how proud he was to see the ship in the heart of Brazil. So why is a Danish ship in Rio de Janeiro? - of course to promote the Danish maritime industry and, even more important, the Danish-Brazilian cooperation on education. According to Billed Bladet, 40 Danish and 40 Brazilian students are trained to become ship's assistants during the Olympics. What an experience!

The first really gala event! Yeah. It took place around dinner time, local time, which means we (because of the time difference) had to wait till around midnight before the dinner was actually taking place. Despite we were forced to wait I wasn't disappointed by what I saw; Mary in a brand new colourful maxi skirt. Etro's exotic and playful design. It was ID'd by Heaven and Kate. Thanks to both of you! Looks like she is almost flying above ground wearing this skirt. Love the way she matched the colourful maxi skirt with a plain white blouse featuring a V-neckline. Accessorized with her silver lurex cardigan from Ann Taylor making it the perfect evening outfit for a Brazilian dinner on board a ship surround by shiny water, mountains and elegant dressed guests. Like the other days, Mary had chosen several bracelets from among others Orit ElhanatiDulong Fine Jewelry and Cartier such as a pair of new earrings -still not ID'd. The maxi skirt is the reason why I think Mary looked a little more casual than Marie in her dreamy white mid-length dress, which I think looks great on her! Two beautiful dressed women on their way to attend dinner accompanied by handsome husbands and stepsons. Finally some new photos appeared that gave me the, and you, the chance to find out which pair of shoes she wore. It can only be her beige peep toe wedges from Tod's. Still, I do not know anything about the new clutch. Looks pretty and perfectly matched everything else, but I can't identify it.

Tip: It is with pride in my voice I share this with you! My dear friend Lurdes, from Tesouras & Tiaras, allowed me to participate in her SummerSeries 2016. A series of interviews with some of her favourite royal blogs -and I'm one of them! What an honor. Today it was posted and I really want to share it with you. Maybe you get to know me a bit better? We are now only a few days away from the official opening ceremony of the Olympics 2016 taking place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on August 5th. Represented from the Danish royal family is Frederik, as member of the International Olympic Committee -IOC, Mary, Prince Joachim and his wife Princess Marie who arrived to Brazil a couple of days before the Crown Prince couple. Yesterday all of them were gathered to attend the official opening of the 300 m2 Danish Pavilion located which at Ipanema beach. They had the most incredible view across the sea from where ever they were standing. The pavilion, named Heart of Denmark, is designed by Henning Larsen Architects and will be use to promote Danish businesses, sports and culture among other things. A great way of sharing knowledge about Denmark such as presenting Danish values. An opportunity we can't miss when people from all over the globe are gathered in Brazil. The weather was perfect, about 29 degrees, yet windy. Joachim, Marie and all four children arrived shortly before the Crown Prince couple did. And of course you have already seen that wonderful picture of Mary hugging Prince Henrik at the arrival, so adorable. It was clear how much they all enjoyed spending the day together. Smiling and laughing over and over again I think they had a great day.

That moment where we get to see the first pictures of Mary no matter where she is or what she is doing, is precious and so exciting. You have it the same way? Don't think I've ever really been disappointed of what I see, it is always exciting. Nor was I disappointed of what she showed us at yesterdays event in the Danish Pavilion. Dressed in a brand new white blouse and denim blue skirt she stole my heart. It caused me and most other royal bloggers lots of trouble trying to identify who designed both new pieces. A million different designers crossed my mind, non of them was the one we were looking for. Somehow Heaven managed to find the new skirt Mary was wearing. How she did I'm not sure of but she found it a A.P.C. A label we haven't seen Mary wear before -a least not what I'm aware of. I really like the skirt; it looks both chick and comfortable at the same time. Styled with that ruffle sleeved blouse, identified as Athé by Vanessa Bruno by Jennifer (thanks!), this was the perfect summer outfit especially because of the striped red/white Christian Louboutin wedges. Those she wore back in 2012 for the first time during the Olympics in London. Maybe it's her way of showing her support to the Danish athletes. Crazy in love with them! Actually a rather simple outfit accessorized with lots of jewelleries from Orit ElhanatiDulong Fine Jewelry and Cartier. A really wonderful and simple look! With a pair of ballet flats it would be stunning for work, a casual birthday party or an evening with some good friends. Oh... now I almost forgot to mention her stunning new clutch. Still not found, but wauw I already love it!

Day 1: Olympics in Rio de Janeiro

Monday, August 1st
Along with Prince Joachim and Princess Marie, the Crown Prince couple are present at different times at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, among others to attend the Danish athletes' performances during the Olympics.

The Danish royal family's presence:
  • July 29 - August 8th Prince Joachim and Princess Marie
  • July 31 - August 21st Crown Prince Frederik
  • July 31 - August 6th Crown Princess Mary

The time is finally here and the Olympics we have all waited for is about to begin this year in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The official opening ceremony is taking place on Friday, August 5th, something representatives from the Danish royal family are also attending. Two days before the Crown Prince couple arrived to Rio de Janeiro, arrived Prince Joachim and Princess Marie along with Prince Nicolai, Prince Felix, Prince Henrik and Princess Athena to Brazil attending both a 125th anniversary and a 70th birthday. The little family took the chance and visited the beautiful Iguaçu Falls on the border between Brazil and Argentina, here. Both Prince Joachim and Princess Marie will attend several other events during their attendance in Brazil among others a gala dinner onboard the training ship Danmark and a concert with Danish Radio Girls' Choir. They will also attend events along with the Crown Prince couple who by the way arrived on July 31st and attended their first event the following day.

As member of IOC -the International Olympic Committee, Frederik attended the opening ceremony of the 129th IOC session which took at Cidade Das Artes, prior to the Olympics official opening ceremony on Friday all four royal members will attend. He attended accompanied by his wife, Crown Princess Mary. Seems like it was a really good evening. Several photos of the couple have been published on Instagram, here, and Facebook, here. They just make such a great couple, the Crown Prince and his wife.

Thrilled to see her in that dress again! I clearly remember the first time she wore it and almost everybody hated it because of the floral print which is why I can't get enough of this dress. The dusty colours and lovely floral print is outstanding. Do you remember her wearing it before? -it was last year when she attended a anniversary celebration in Copenhagen along with Queen Margrethe, Frederik, Prince Joachim and Princess Marie, here. Oh... it is such so beautiful. Love to see her in this Burberry Prorsum (AW 2014-2015) dress again! You still don't like it? I adored how she styled the dress the last time with her Valentino sandals, this time she accessorized it with, what I strongly believe is, a pair of pink patent leather pumps from Gianvito Rossi worn a couple of times before. As the dress, I can't get enough of Rossi's designs. Perfectly matching the rest of her outfit she wore a knot clutch from Bottega Veneta and a pair of brand new earrings, I still haven't been able to identify but I'm working on it. As always you are more than welcome to share your thoughts about possible designer with me. I'd look forward to hear your ideas. So far I have excluded that they are not from Jewlscph by a request. My second though was the Danish jewellery designer Annikat, but I can't seem to find the right model. What else do I see when I look at her? -a golden Orit Elhanati necklace, a Dulong Fine Jewelry bracelet, two diamond bands from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen, a beaded bracelets from Anni Lu and yet another I believe is her Charlotte Wæhrens creation. I don't think this is the only great outfit we'll see during their trip to Rio.
