Annual photo call in Gråsten

Friday, July 15th

Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik met the press at the annual photo call at Gråsten castle. The Crown Prince couple did also attend the photo call and have stayed at Gråsten during summer along with all four children. Prince Gustav and his girlfriend Carina, Princess Alexandra and her husband Count Jefferson and their daughter Ingrid also joined their family in Gråsten.

Finally, it is time for me to share this post with you from the annual photo call in Gråsten. The Crown Prince couple and their four children have spend most of the summer at the castle. A few times we have seen them on their way to Gråsten Riding School and when visiting Legoland in Billund. Now Queen Margrethe, Prince Henrik, Prince Gustav and his girlfriend Carina, Princess Alexandra, Count Jefferson and their daughter Ingrid joined the family in Gråsten. I am sure they were all warmly welcomed by the Crown Prince couple and their children at the arrival.

Gråsten castle was given to Queen Ingrid and King Frederik IX by the State, as summer residence. This has become a tradition, adopted by both the Queen and her husband and now by the Crown Prince couple. A wonderful tradition to keep alive, don't you think? It is all about gathering family from near and far and have a great time. Then on Friday it was time for the family to meet the rest at the annual photo call. That one time a year we get to see the family all relaxed and casual. It is something I look forward to with great pleasure.

Around 10:00 pm. the family showed up and met the press with smiles on their faces. A beautiful moment was captured and is now part of royal history. Despite wind and lots of clouds every single one of them seemed to enjoyed themselves and having a good time with the rest of the family. Especially Prince Vincent and Princess Josephines enjoyed a good time playing with the dogs.

The atmosphere is all relaxed, which makes it perfect for something casual to wear. The dresscode is simple and causal. The Queen wore a bright pink suit, marching the girls with her choice of clothes. Because both Princess Isabella and her younger sister, Princess Josephine were dressed I lovely pink and powder pink dresses. Meanwhile the Crown Prince and his sons, were all wearing some kind of blue clothing's.

Mary wore a stunning new printed dress by SEA made of 100% silk. It was identified by Kate, Heaven and Pernille. Don't think we have ever seen her in that label before - have we? She embraced the style by wearing a simple black cardigan (maybe not the best combo), a pair of pearl white Dulong Fine Jewelry earrings and some colourful bracelet from the same designer. Another piece of jewellery worth mentioning is of course the golden Cartier bracelet on her left wrist. Though I like her new dress very much, I am somehow more fascinated by her new brown heeled sandals. From first sight, I have been almost obsessed trying to identify them. Reminds me of a pair of wedges previously worn by the Crown Princess of Sweden during her public birthday celebration, here. I even manage to find a picture showing the logo, but no matter who I asked no one was able to help. Suddenly a name came to me - Yvonne Koné. And I was right. The best finding in a very long time. After all this is a smashing outfit featuring some pretty amazing details. Something you would wear? I would; at a dinner with my friends.

I found a collection of some of her summer outfits, here. Do you have a favourite look?

On the cover of Vogue Australia

I am in doubt that you clearly remember the wonderful pictures of the Crown Prince couple in Vogue Australia in December 2004, hereTwelve years later, the couple is on the cover of Vogue Australia (August 2016) once again. Yes, it is really happening. A few pictures and a short review have already been published by the magazine itself, here. Vogue Australia cover some of the most prominent stars every month, but the August issue is way more interesting for us than usual, because the Crown Princess of Denmark is on the cover and is interviewed. Vogue editor in chief, Edwina McCann and fashion director, Christine Cenetenera were invited to the royal couples home in Copenhagen to make the interview with the Crown Princess. She was interview about speaking for the voiceless, her role as a prominent world leader and her true passion for sustainable fashion. The pictures are taken by photographer Mario Testino, when he visited Denmark in May along with his team. He visited country also to celebrate his first exhibition in Denmark, here. The exhibition shows some of his most spectacular photographies also including pieces of the Danish royal couple. From what I have seen and heard, everything about this issue is incredible. The pictures shows an all relaxed couple in company with the children. We get a close up of the Crown Princess in some kind of royal blue dress/blouse and of course the cover featuring both husband and white all dressed up. The Crown Prince in a black suit and his wife in a brand new Alex Perry gown - identified by Heaven. I have gathered more informations about what the Crown Princess is wearing during the interview and we get to see some really incredible pieces.

The issue is available from July 11th.
