Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary during their third day in the United States

Before telling you about the couple's third day in Washington and Boston as well, I have to share this photo with you, here, taken at the Grand Ball. I found it by a coincidence and fell in love with it instantly. Everything about that photo is adorable. The couple spend most of their third day together, first at the National Museum of American History Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. where they attended the exhibition On the Water which was followed by a visited the Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Veterans Health Administration is the largest integrated health care system in the US which treats about 9 million veterans annually. Here the couple was accompanied by the business delegation from Denmark. During the visit at the veteran hospital located in Washington both of them were given a special honorary coins. Three or four hours later the couple appeared in Boston where they visited Guldmann Inc., Frederik Cities as Drivers for Sustainability at the University of Boston followed by a meeting with the Mayor of Boston Marty Walsh. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find that many articles nor photos from the couple's third day. Anyone who knows why? Or is it a just coincidence.

Simply gorgeous we get to see so many of her old goodies right now! You do remember this blue and greenish Bøgelund-Jensen, right? Amazing how well she manages to get this dress styled in a whole new way every time we see it. She has worn it a quite many occasions, in many different ways but I do not recall we have ever seen her wear this dress, featuring the most incredible pattern, with a cardigan before. But it looks really great, especially when Mary wears it as a cape over her shoulders. Clever! Anyone you knows something about the cardigan? One thing I have learned from Mary, when it comes to matching clothes and accessories, is how well darker colours look in a combination with light colours. And this is a great example; dark blue cardigan and dress with rose patent leather pumps from Gianvito Rossi. Always a winner! To match the rest of her outfit she was wearing Cenius & Bach earrings and a navy blue Quidam clutch. Of course, no outfit without some dazzling diamonds which is why she accessorized the outfit with a two diamond bracelets (one of them probably from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen) and a couple of diamond bands from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen paired with a large diamond ring in the middle. So, though a cardigan is part of every women's basic wardrobe, I think it's what changed her outfit completely.

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attending a dinner

Around dinner time arrived the Crown Prince couple to attend a dinner accompanied by the business delegation and other collaborators. It all took place in State Room, Boston. Both showed a sincere pleasure attending the dinner. It was in a brilliant mood they arrived last as gusts of honor. Both Danish and American guests attended the dinner which provided a good opportunity for both of them to exchange ideas and opportunities with their own country's experience. Several speeches were given during the evening and one of them was given by the Crown Princess herself. Proudly she talked about Denmark and the Danes in general with her husband in the front row, looking all proud of his wife. But as always; Mary captured everybody's attention with her charismatic smile and gentle voice. So, the day started in Washington, D.C. with a visit at the National Museum of American History Smithsonian Institution and perfectly ended with a dinner in Boston.

I'm stunned by her creativity; mixing and matching colours, prints, patterns and fabrics recently. Think we have seen some pieces I'd never thought we would see Mary wear. This new dress is one of them. It took my multiple attempts to ID her new olive green dress, even though I didn't. But with help from Heaven and Kate I am actually able to tell you that her dress is from Tory Burch one of the first designers I tried (but didn't find it). Thank you so both of you! I know who created the bi-colour drop earrings she was wearing. Not the first time we see them, still they have not been found yet. The golden filigree bracelet, on her right wrist, have also been seen I think a couple of times before. Several ideas have been suggested; non of them was the right one. On one photo I see a glimpse of her shoes, but only a glimpse and to me it looks like her snake print pointed pumps which I believe could be from Gianvito Rossi. Hate to say it but not the best match with the embroidery on her dress. Do you think? So, let's talk about what I actually know thought it's quite little. Mary was wearing two more bracelets on her left wrist; one from Cartier and one I believe is from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. But really it is her smily face what makes smile!

Now we only have one day left, then it's back to Copenhagen.
