Get a Workwear Wardrobe like Mary!

On April 13th the Presidential couple from Mexico are on an official state visit in Denmark, where we also get to see Frederik and Mary in action. Till then, I hope you will enjoy getting some new workwear inspiration with some of my favourite outfits worn during her time as Crown Princess. The workwear style I really like, it's simple and elegant. It's also easy to mix and match these outfits with lots of accessories, prints, patterns, colours etc. To me Mary is one of the best sources of inspiration when choosing my next outfit. At the same time Mary's workwear style are sophisticated and causal, a balance that works every time! Without knowing all about you, who you are, what style you like or where you work I believe that these ___ outfits will be inspirational to you. What's great about them, is the fact that you can use her looks as a basis for your own outfit. Take a seat and let yourself mesmerized to find your next workwear outfit!

Every day we get closer to spring and summer which means more pastel colours, white is the ultimate colour. Despite Mary wore this outfit back in 2005 on one of their first visits in Australia after their wedding, I sense that white will finds its way back to the runway this year. A plain white dress is always a winner and so easy because you can find exactly that white dress you like better and suits your shape. Mary accessorized her look with a belt, cap toe shoes and pearl jewellery. Simple, classy and always a beauty!

Style tip / A casual tote bag would be a great match!

Like the white dress above, a black dress is always a winner no matter where or when you are going. Often I hear that women choose the back dress because it's the easies, please girls pay a little respect for the most classic dress of them all. With the right accessories you can get any outfit you want. In 2007 Mary wore this outfit and I think she has found a way to keep it classy and sophisticated without looking boring. The right amount of jewellery and that suede peep toe pumps, I'll assure you, you will cause a stir!

Style tip/ Wear it with a black leather jacket to get that modern look!

This outfit is differently to you who like something a little more feminine but if you just absolutely adore this, try it with another skirt. A pencil skirt would also do great! When we think of workwear, one of the first thing I think of is some kind of shirt. A workwear wardrobe often tend to be inspired by men's wear, especially the white button down shirt and blazers. Here we have an outfit that is a fantastic mix between male and female. Button down shirts can be purchased almost anywhere and if you find the right one, I am of the conviction that everybody can wear this type of blouse. Mary matched her shirt with a floral A-line skirt and a long necklace.

Style tip/ With a pair of ankle boots and sheer tights, this would do all year!

An outfit worn at a visit to New York in 2009, has to be one of my absolute favourite. The colours, items and accessories are just perfect. That dusty pink colours makes me happy! Maybe you need to dress it a bit down as a workwear outfit but as I said in the beginning; this is only as inspiration and I think this look has that workwear-vibe because of the long trousers and wonderful lace blouse. Lace is always trendy, especially during spring.

Style tip/ Add a suede jacket to have that '70s vibe!

Exaclty what I mean! Here you see how easy it is to create more than one look with just one blouse. Keeping it simple by choosing the same coloured bottom. It's really not that hard, you think so? She wore both outfits at the time when Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden married Daniel in 2010. With a pair of trousers you get a smashing outfit showing your beautiful body and with a pencil skirt you instantly get the look of a professional business women. Take a note that she's wearing the exact same bag which shows how well you can wear the same bag twice and still looks different each time. Add you favourite watch and a pair of pumps to get what I would call a outstanding workwear outfit!

Style tip/ Keep one of them pieces in a plain colour, but experiment with other colours and prints!

I know I've talked a lot about spring and summer but still I want to share this one with you because if you live in countries like Denmark, you still have days that a windy and rainy. If so, you need an outfit to stay warn in and this would differently do! More than once I have told you how amazing turtleneck blouses are, I still think they are everything you need in the fall and winter or maybe early spring. One made of cotton is what you should look for. Combine it with a black skirt like Mary, a pair of cap toe pumps and some kind of coat. You'd rock! With or without the hat, this is one great workwear outfit!

Style tip/ For spring wear a lace blouse instead to get the sense of summer.
