Finally it is time for at second post with lost of Christmas inspiration. Hope you enjoyed the first one. I really enjoy writing these posts because they give me the change to share my absolute favourite outfit worn by the Crown Princess. We are only two weeks away from Christmas and it is about time you get some more inspiration, for what to wear on the big evening. Believe it or not, it has been quite a challenge to choose this second outfit. First because I have access to a limited number of pictures and second because I have so many favourite outfits to share with you. Last week you joined me and an outfit from 2010. From when the couple visited Germany and the Crown Princess was pregnant with the twins.

Now we go back a few months. Back to when the Queen celebrated her 75th birthday. I want to show you how to "transform" one her of gala outfit to the perfect Christmas eve look. The outfit worn worn by the Crown Princess on April 16th attending a gala dinner at Fredensborg Palace.

The hairstyle she had chosen, I'm sure in company with her hairdresser, is the most simple style on earth to make. It base on a ponytail with a little extra. Though it looks difficult to make; it is not. It takes precision and care. I am sure you are going to nail this hairstyle with perfection. Especially with my little "how to" down below. What you need is a comb, some bobby pins, hairspray and hair elastics. Leave a comment if you need further help to try this hairstyle yourself.

  1. Divide you hair in three sections: two at front and one at the back of your head. It leaves you with three 'ponytails'.
  2. Now take the two sections of hair at front and make ponytail at the back of your head, as low as possible.
  3. Tease the back section by the roots. Comb slowly and make a ponytail from the rest of your hair.
  4. Take the first ponytail from step 2; twist it around the ponytail from step 3. Bobby pin it.
  5. Finish off with some hairspray.

To me the Crown Princess is also famous for her beautiful makeup. It demand much more attention that it is given. Her makeup is alway flawless and suitable for the occasion. I am not going to teach you how to do your makeup. For sure you have your very own makeup routine to follow. I just want to inspire you how to get something similar. Remember, a good skincare routine is essential such as a good foundation makes the difference. Her eye makeup is a combination a brown shadow and blended black liner closing around her almond shaped eyes. Completed with rosy cheeks and a berry lipgloss.
