As patron of the Child Welfare Day 2014 (Børnehjælpsdagen), which is celebrating 110 years anniversary, visited Crown Princess Mary Home in Hundested at request of the young people staying at the residence.

The Child Welfare Day / Børnehjælpsdagen
... is one of the oldest organizations in Denmark which was founded back in 1904 by philanthropist and municipal doctor Dr Johan Niels Gottlob Carlsen, who was very active in the debate about the poor conditions of children in Denmark. He wrote numerous articles and contributions to the debate about the miserable conditions as poor and orphans grew up in orphanages and asylums, primarily in Copenhagen. Right since the beginning have the Child Welfare Day been supported by royal family members. Today is Crown Princess Mary patron of the organization have been since 2005. You find more info here.

Home in Hundested
Every day are seven Danish children removed from their homes, father or mother. They are then placed in an institution or with a foster family. This is where Home in Hundested become important. A residence for children and young people.

It was a burning desire from the 7 young people who lives at Home in Hundested, to meet the Crown Princess and therefore had written a letter to the Child Welfare Day. This was the reason why Mary paid the residence a visit, also on the occasion of the organization's 110 years anniversary. Thanks to  Agnés Colbert I'm able to show you pictures from Mary's heartwarming visit. A wish was fulfilled which was obvious when the Crown Princess arrived at Hundested where the young people welcomed her with flowers such as happy faces. This gave Mary a huge smile on her face. After the more formal welcoming ceremony, the atmosphere completely changed and everybody were acting way more relaxed. I'm not sure I would be able to act normal if every got the chance to meet her personally so I truly understand if the seven young people were excited, maybe troubled keeping themselves in control. For one and a half hour was Mary honored like a queen with presents among others one of these rosewood eggs from Egeværk, here, and speeches that clearly moved her. She heard stories told by the young people and before leaving Hundested, Mary was given a tour around the home of seven very happy young people. One great experience for the residents at Home.

Am I the only one that just adore this outfit?! All the different shades of blue gives me the vibe of summer, sun and holidays. I noticed her recently wearing lots of colours especially the blue one, looking gorgeous next to her brown hair. By the way, is her hair a little lighter than usual? Never mind, just a thought that crossed my mind. Back to what we were talking about. Immediately I feel in love with the new Stella Nova peplum she wore. With some intensive search I manage to identify where it's from. It features stripes and a white Peter Pan collar which is a fantastic detail. Something you can't see it that the blouse features buttons on the back, another sweet detail. If you take a close look at some of the pictures in the above links you might see it. This she matched with a pair of navy blue trousers and new bright blue pumps. Many of you have already shared thoughts and ideas about these new suede pumps, but I'm so sure she is wearing a model from Gianvito Rossi. Can't wait to see her wear them again! During the visit Mary flashed one of her old Prada coats no longer available anywhere. Keeping everything perfect she accessorized the look with old aquamarine blue earrings from Marianne Dulong, a Shamballa Jewels bracelet and a single diamond ring from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. That she did not carry any bag also indicates that she was a little more casual than usual.

Coat: Prada
Earrings: Marianne Dulong
Blouse: Stella Nova Summer Cotton Blouse €59 (on sale)
