Crown Jubilee Celebration

Started on January, 10th

This year, the Danish Queen Margrethe II celebrated her 40 year anniversary as Queen of Denmark.
On January 14, 1972 Margrethe came out on the balcony in great grief after her father, King frederik 9, died. From the time she goes from being Crown Princess to Queen of Denmark, this is now 40 years ago and the Danes want to celebrate their Queen.

The Royal family visited the Danish Parliament

This outfit makes me believe that this will be a great week with more then one amazing outfit! Even though it is a pretty old skirt she just knows how to wear it again in a new way. Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti (Spring/summer 2009) is the brand of the skirt. Wonder if it's a wool blend skirt? On her head she wore a burgundy color hat, so elegant! The jacket allowed us to pa attention to the amazing burgundy color, also the gloves and the Rika clutch had that color - great! Her feet was 'dressed' in high heels from Prada. In the waist she wore a small Céline belt.

Portrait exposure

With her oldest son in the hands, Frederik and Mary attended the exposure of a portrait of the Queen. As far as I know her beige jacket is from Prada. Under the jacket she wore a black turtleneck and a black pencil skirt. In the same beige color, Mary had chosen to wear a clutch from Naledi Copenhagen (Fall/Winter 2012) and cap-toe pumps from Prada.

A visit at City Hall, Copenhagen

Dressed in a long grey (?) coat and a simple black dress with some nice accessories, Mary nailed it! Mary just knows how to look good and show the best of her body. The hairpiece is made by milliner Susanne Juul. In another shade of grey is her cap-toe Prada pumps and in her hand she carried a black knot clutch from Bottega Veneta. The necklace is from Marianne Dulong features a black Sea pearl, such as the earrings.

Gala performance in DR's concert hall

Even though this is time number 100 we see her in the black dress from Prada I like it more every time we see it! And with the midnight blue velvet cape over, Mary looked stunning at the gala performance. Her black satin shoes is from the same designer. I think you are as thrilled as I am about she wearing her weeding tiara. It's very likely that her earrings, with the purple pendant, is inherited from her husband.

Attened a celebration service in Christiansborg Chapel

Mary showed us, once again, how to wear this grey suit. I love that she chose an accessory with some color, the blue hat (Susanne Juul), but does it really work to this outfit? What I really LOVED, was the fact that she wore her engagement shoes from Valentino again, yeah!

Gala dinner at Christiansborg Palace

Again a dress we have seen several times over the past years. The midnight blue velvet gown comes from Prada (RTW Fall 2004). Shoes and clutch are also from Prada, the classic 'gala dinner' accessories. The Ruby parure was well-placed and looked stunning next the the blue color.
